Just like all my Merrell footwear - these boots fit perfect right out of the box with no break in period or sore feet. Very well made and excellent materials. And I learned recently that Merrell stands behind their products without and monkey business. Thank you Merrell!

Purchased 12-1-18. These shoes are amazingly comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them three or four times. My only complaint is with the soles. The Vibram soles are described as having, “…unmatched…slip resistance.” This does not seem to be the case at least in damp or wet conditions. They are quite slippery on damp concrete. Even broomed concrete poses a problem. It is even more difficult to navigate a tile floor. I have also found them to be dangerously slippery on a ladder. This again is when conditions are damp or wet. They might be nice for fair weather hiking, but if things are damp I would expect logs and rocks to pose a problem. I would like to suggest this same boot with a different sole—less lugs, softer compound and more siping.

Comfortable as can be, Super light weight but durable. The only reason I can't give them a 5 is that they are ugly as sin, but I still like them.

I have had this boot for several years and ready to buy another pair --Its an excellent boot and despite what you may have read-- it is waterproof. Just worked outside all day in slush amd after 6 hours my feet were dry. Look, like all leather boots you need to take care of them and putting some mink oil on them from time to time will hep the boot maintain its water resistance. Boot size does run about 1/2 size smaller than what i normally wear but otherwise I had no problems with this boot and neither will you --it's a Merrill--

My husband bought these over the summer and found them to be very comfortable. However, after less than six months, the sole has started to separate from the shoe, and they look very beaten up, like a much older shoe. He just wears them to an office job and so really thought they would last longer.

I've worn fabric summer boots from Merrell for years. Every pair has been great. For cooler seasons, I've long wished for a leather boot that would be as comfortable as those summer boots. I need wide sizes that don't take a long time to break in. I got frustrated trying to find what I wanted elsewhere and decided to see what Merrell had. These boots were exactly what I hoped for. Great boots.

Yup, tried them all. I have wide feet and it's hard to find boots that are sized this way. These boots are comfy from the first lace up, no break-in required. The hold up nicely, after 6 months my older pair was still in good shape, just a bit on the ugly side though. And they were still water resistant, which is very important for my work in all kinds of weather. I hope Merrell continues to make this model for a long time.

I really like this boot and found them to be very comfortable. My issue is that after a month (only wore them about 10 times) the plastic grommet busted off. The retailer I bought them from does not provide exchanges and does not take returns so now I have these very nice and pricey boots that now have a significant defect.

Like merrell products but these boots are to big and I need to return was thinking I should get to a store that sells them and get correct fit . Have had merrell boots last 2 winters but those boots don't seem to be available anymore. I am picky because I don't normally wear much more than flip flops or ugh slippers so finding a comfortable boot has always been a challenge. Hope I have success in store again.

I just received my first and last pair of Merrel boots. I bought the boots because of their stated water proofing, vibram sole, and looks. OK, it is a good looking boot, but it is little more than fancy high top athletic shoes. The biggest problem with these as a all weather boot is the non-gusseted tongue. If you step off a curb, or are walking in rain or snow for any length of time, your feet WILL get wet. With no gusset, the water will come right into the boot. Another problem is the heat welded sole, for me, it's an issue. So, if you are looking for a good looking boot to go with your jeans, this is a good choice. However, if you want a descent pair of boots that will keep up with wherever your feet take you, not so much. I may keep them for casual dress, but not for much more. Hope this helps.
