I broke my right ankle,11/3/2011, proud owner of 12 screws and 1 rod, along with dislocating it. Ankle still not 100% yet, will be at least 5 more months. My riding boots would not fit the foot, had to get a bigger size. These are well made and fit great. I hope to get many years out of them. I think they will give me the stability I need for the ankle, as I don't want to injure it again.

I do like and can honestly recommend um! This Double H stylish leather upper western work boot has very comfortable removalable, replaceable foot bed cushioning a durable dual support outer sole with quality construction and for my use a great value. Baring anything unforeseen, I believe they will provide me several years of service. While sold as a western work boot and I do use them for work, I also find them stylish enough to wear to casual social events like a barbque outing after applying a little elbow grease and boot polish.. My 12 D's were perfect in length but feel just slightly wide without a good "thick" boot or hiking sock. Hopefully, they will not stretch in width as I continue to break them in. If they do stretch, I will probably try the water emersion recommendation I got from a true Oklahoma cowboy and hope as they dry out that they will conform back to my foot. Based on Double H brand advertising, I thought this was a made in the USA boot as I try to support USA workers whenever possible. However, not this particular style which is currently made in Mexico. Still...not a deal breaker and all in all a first rate and stylish work/casual boot. fish
