I chose these Chacos because I was going to be doing some tubing and other outdoor activities and I wanted a backstrap. I was glad that I got the ones with the more rugged sole. They were great when climbing out of the water and up onto the rocks. They had very good traction. I do recommend breaking them in a little around the house if you're going to be wearing them for extended periods of time. I also liked them because they looked nice enough to wear as a regular sandle as well. It helped limit the number of shoes I needed to bring on my trip!

These are my second pair of Chacos. I was hesitant to pay the price. However, they are worth it b/c I wear them everyday in the summer. They have a lot of support for my flat feet. The toe hold doesn't bother me, either.

I plan on wearing this on my upcoming 7-day cruise to the Caribbean. Watch out shore excursions! Ive been wearing this sandal around the house in the interim and absolutely love the fit. My feet feel encased in comfort and support. Initially I thought the sandal felt a bit heavy but that feeling past quickly. Its truly a sturdy, well-made sandal. Buy it people!

I was involved in an auto accident 11 years ago. I have back and hip pain from te to time, but recently it's increased and is more frequent. I wear another brand of shoes that I just love, but they weren't providing the support that I needed. These Chacos fit the bill! There was a period of adjustment. I hadn't had this much support in a shoe in so long! I also have flat feet and didn't realize how much my feet were still pronating(falling inward). After wearing these for a few hour a day for a week( to get adjusted), my back and hip pain disappeared! I plan on getting Chaco sandals for summer. I can't believe what a difference those shoes make! I also have narrow feet which is no problem with having the strap to adjust how snug or loose you may need them to be. I may even pick up a pair of the canvas ped sheds for spring! Thanks for the great deal and service online shoes!

Bought this pair on sale because they were cute and my two old pairs of Chaco flips are starting to wear out. I prefer to get leather flips and shoes, and this is definitely not leather, but at the sale price I figured they'd be a nice alternative for occasional wear. And I'm well pleased--they are cute and fit very nicely and feel good on my feet. About the only concern is that the straps have no give, so if I wear them for a good length of time, they start to feel uncomfortably tight, especially around the toe. So again, for the cuteness and occasional wear, perfect; but not good for everyday wear, I think.

I wear a 7.5 M and so I ordered these in both 7.5 and 8 as other reviewers said they run small. I could wear both, but the 8 was more comfortable and stable under the ball of my foot. The arch support is TERRIFIC. It will take some breaking in before I can comformtably wear socks with these shoes in th size 8, but I think that they are going to be wonderful. I don't think I have ever put on shoes that felt this comfortable immediately. I suggest if you buy these shose that you order the larger size, particularly if your foot is on the wide side, like mine.

Chaco was launched in 1989 by Mark Paigen. Paigen, a fly fishing and whitewater rafting guide on the Colorado River, began making sport sandals for his fellow guides. Eventually, he started making the unique sandals for clients, and the demand for Chacos continued to grow. In 2008, Chaco was acquired by Wolverine World Wide, Inc.
