Very nice boot for everyday wear. Can dress up or done. Slightly more narrow along the center sides of my feet than other shoes and boots of the same width. Will probably keep anyway just because it is leather and I would expect it to stretch enough to accommodate the slightly more snug fit. I haven't worn them outside yet to be able to comment on how they will perform over the long haul but my feet feel stable when I try them on and walk in the house and the stability or surefootedness offered by this boot seems to be greater than with most.
Overall, this is a nice boot...attractive, nice heel height and feels stable. I own three other pair of Reiker shoes (but not boots) that I use for work and have found consistency in sizing among all three of them. This boot, however, is slightly narrow. Since it is leather, I'm thinking it will strech a bit and ultimately be ok. However, if you tend you have swelling or be between a medium and wide width, I think this might be too narrow of a width for you. Unfortunately, you don't know till you acutally try on the boots and even among the same sizes there is sometimes slight inconsistencies.
It all began in 1845, when Mr. Heinrich Rieker started a leather exporting business. It wasn't until 1874 that the first RIEKER Shoe factory was established in the hills of the Black Forest Area of Germany. In 1986, RIEKER expanded on to the U.S. market, and established the name RIEKER Shoe Corporation U.S.A. The opening of facilities in the USA allowed for better service and product development to suit the needs of the North American market.
Today RIEKER Antistress Shoes are available worldwide.
Fashionable Rieker shoes are sought-after for style and contoured comfort. They're practical and comfortable, yes, but they look great, too! Rieker's sensible career and casual footwear for women can be counted on for durability and lasting, classic styles.
