Great Product! These boots run a half size big in my opinion. I tried on a pair at a local Red Wing Store so I knew exactly what size to order. These boots fit great and look very nice casually. They did not need any break-in time since my foot fit the boot perfectly, which allowed my foot to bend in comfortable spot within in the boot. Fit is important! I can't wait to see these boots build character over the years. I love these boots and highly recommend them to anyone who loves high quality footwear.

I bought these 1/2 size down and the E width, and they fit perfectly. Very durable. Requires break in time- a lot of break in time, but they're worth it. I wear them to work, to play in my band, out to dinner, and on the ranch. They rock! Made in USA!

I hesitated buying this boot, solely on price. After some thought, I figured the reviews can't be wrong - and they weren't! This is by far the most solidly built and stylish boot that I have owned. Working in a business casual environment, I worried that these wouldn't be appropriate with khakis, but have come to find that they actually look better than some of my traditional 'dress' shoes. From a comfort perspective, I've had no break-in period, which I can see is probably pretty rare. Right out of the box and a coat of mink oil later, they fit like a glove on day 1. I did order a half-size down, which was the absolute right thing to do. While these aren't the latest in Nike Air comfort, they give great support around the ankles, and lace up quickly for a snug fit. The soles are hard, but don't 'clomp' when you walk. (Nor do they squeak on the tiled lobby floor like some other shoes I own.) I've walked several miles on city sidewalks over the past three days, and my feet aren't tired or sore when I take them off in the evening. Overall, these boots are an investment, and are well worth every penny for the styling and comfort that they provide. I would recommend these for anyone thinking about pulling the trigger on buying them.

I just received it and haven't wear it so much because of the harsh weather outside (snow, heavy rain, etc.) but so far this is a great chukka. Love the style, it needs breaking thru for the first few uses but it'll shape to your foot accordingly.

A little uncomfortable

Bought this shoe in my size since I heard you need to use an insole. After putting a light insole in the shoe, it fits too tight for me. Without an added insole this boot is VERY uncomfortable. After a full day of wearing this boot in a casual environment, my feet feel terrible. Taking them off gives a sigh of relief. If I bought this boot again, I'd purchase a half size BIGGER and wider and add a serious cushion to these babies.
