Comfy dress shoe with style
Seattle Bicycle Toe Tie Review:
I found Ecco when I couldn't find a suitable style from my favorite brand Merrell. I have a short, wide foot with a high arch, and I've always had a hard time finding shoes. These have a nice roomy toe that doesn't cramp my wide feet, and the square toe design keeps it from sticking out too far in front, way past my toes!
Very stylish shoe, seems very well made. Squishier and more rubbery than I expected. I'm used to leather-lined shoes being kind of stiff and hard until broken in, but these are soft right from the start. The leather insole is removable, which is good for me, as I like to take them out and fan dry the whole thing after a warm day of wearing them. Always use cedar shoe horns, please, if you want to avoid the "clown shoe" curl setting in after a while, not to mention keeping the interior as un-smelly as possible.
These look good with suit or just slacks for date night. A little Euro, but not pretentious. Easy lace up, nice quality laces. Good traction outside, and a little squeaky on polished floors. Not hard-heeled, so no clunk sound.
As for sizing, I got the 43 Euro size, where I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 American. When actually measured, my "true" size is 8 EEE. These work well.
