If I can find a wider shoe, I can wear an 8. Otherwise, I wear an 8.5. These shoes are well made and attractive, but tight for an 8.5. I am keeping them because I don't want to hassle sending them back, but I wish I had ordered a 9. It would have been the first time I owned a size 9 shoe in my life. As it is, they are too tight to wear with cotton socks. But I think I'll be able to wear them with either no socks or very thin socks. I also hope they soften up with use. Disappointing, but obviously, a very quality shoe.
