Recently got into Chaco sandals and have been very pleased with the comfort and versatility of the brand. I was looking for a new pair of shoes to replace my worn tennis shoes and thought I'd give these a go. As far as sizing, I should mention that I am a man with smaller feet so the women's size fit me better but they fit exactly the same as my Z/2's of the same size which I was happy about! The arch support is great - wore these for two long days while moving boxes and at the end of the day my feet didn't hurt at all. Super light as well. Must say that at first I was unsure of the style - definitely not your average shoe but I got used to it pretty quickly. Straps definitely work to hold upper support as well but one thing I would suggest if I may is that the buckle be made in the same style as the sandals. It could have been that I tightened too tightly but I did feel my skin being pinched in that general region which is something I was not expecting. Also, in spite of third-party reviews and sites touting these as having a "built-in sock", the inside texture felt like that of a tennis shoe and as such, I'd really recommend wearing no-show socks because if your feet sweat it will be quite stinky potentially. They do however seem to wash rather well. I managed to have soda spilled on me and had to run them through the wash when I got home. Overall, great, comfortable product - these are probably going to become my mainstream "tennis shoes"!

I was very pleased with the fit of my shoes, especially the footbed, which is just as supportive as the sandals. I thought they were a bit large until I got the strap adjusted, and then they were just perfect. I can't imagine why no one has come up with a system like that sooner. It makes for the perfect sneaker that really fits my foot and leaves my toes free to move. Thank you!

I bought these for my first Dragon Boat Race because I wanted water shoes that I would be able to walk around in all day with arch supports and wear in the boat while paddling with. They are very comfortable, sturdy enough in the footbed to be very supportive while still being very flexible for the back and forth action require in paddling. Plus I got compliments on how cute they are. Very happy!

These are Awesome! These will be my new hiking and casual shoes of choice. The sock combined with the support of a standard Chaco is brilliant. The fit is a little long so it will be perfect for high mileage days

I am always apprehensive when I order shoes online, but am so pleased with this shoe! For the past couple of Michigan winters I have been wearing socks with my Chaco sandals all winter long!! I am very happy to finally have a shoe to wear. I am so pleased that they fit and are as comfortable as my sandals! They are a tad longer, but not enough to go up to the next size. All in all, I love these shoes!!

Very comfortable yet still supportive to run and climb. Perfect for what I wanted .

This shoe is like my sandals but they keep my feet warm! The straps are somewhat adjustable. The footbed feels different to me than the sandals; I wish the lining covered more of the bed than it does. So far I am loving my new shoes!

I was excited to see this shoe offered by Chaco. It's a great change of season shoe. I live in Chaco Zs during the summer, any time it's warm enough and dry enough (if I'm wearing socks). The Ronin has the same great fit and support as the sandal, but offers more coverage. I first wore mine to a Soccer game. There was some rain, but not enough to get my feet wet. I'm a big fan of the Chaco Z sandal foot bed. This shoe is a great addition!

I was sad to see summer go and have to give up my Chaco sandals. That’s when I realize they had these incredible shoes. I love them and I feel great on the feet. It did take a couple of days to get used to the feel of the higher arch but totally worth it!!

I usually wear a 7-1/2 shoe but in Chacos I'm a 7. Also, I have a very narrow foot so I was nervous ordering these. They just arrived and are great! I have plantar fasciitis and my Chacos are the most comfortable shoes for that. The arch is perfect and they adjust just like the sandals. The extra strap is long after tightening, so I just tuck it in the back strap--no problem (see photo). I walked 2 miles in them and they were fine with no sock and very warm. They aren't scratchy at all. Might need socks when it's below zero. They will be perfect for fall through spring here in Illinois. The "sock/mesh" part isn't wrinkled when I tighten either.So glad I got them! Love all my Chacos!
