I’ve had these for less than a year and the facbric startied fraying at the heel mainly but also all around the shoe. at about 3 months with casual wear. Also the sole up towards the toe broke down pretty fast. I wish I could still return or exchange. Do

I love these shoes - by , Jun 30, 2020

These shoes are awesome. I love the look and they really look and feel like they will last a long time- not just 6 months. I will warn that I had to get 1.5 sizes lower than my typical size for Nike and Adidas. Other than that these shoes are seriously so cool

Unfortunately after just 3 wears my sandals are taking apart. I was really excited when my friends told me about Chacos. But they definitely fell short. But such is life when you order shoes online.

love the look, concept, and sizing, but not a good fit. i had very high hopes for these as i wear chacos nearly every day. however, with a new job came a requirement for closed toe shoes and i thought these would be the perfect solution, but unfortunately these shoes are way too narrow for me. i do not have wide feet. disappointed that i am not able to return these and thus am now stuck with these shoes that i can’t wear without pain

I don't wear socks, these are the best for when the temps drop in Cleveland, comfortable to walk in and warm to boot. Looks cool, quite happy wilth them, oh ya, bought a second pair different color.

Great concept, mixed results. - by , Oct 30, 2019

I have flat feet and regularly experience foot pain, and I struggle to find shoes that don't hurt my feet. One of the few shoes that has caused me no pain so far are my Chaco Z Cloud sandals (with the toe loop). So I was very happy to hear that Chaco was releasing a closed-toe version. The sneaker/sandal design is unique and quite good looking in my opinion. When my pair arrived, I was hopeful because I had no initial foot pain after wearing them around for a bit. After trying the shoes out for a few days though, I began to experience foot pain. The shoe didn't have enough arch support for me, and overall I found the shoes to be uncomfortable. I tried them with support insole, but still had pain. The straps can be hard to tighten just right. The insole also lacks cushioning--I think something similar to the Z Cloud Sandal sole would work better in this shoe. I get the "sock" concept, but I think the Z/Ronins need a more protective structure and material for the upper foot--this would make them warmer in cooler weather, too. The writing on the heel of the shoe claims the outsole is "High Traction." In my experience, this was not the case. I have slipped multiple times in these shoes on wet brick, cobblestone, painted asphalt, and the ADA tactile pavers at crosswalks. For these reasons, I will unfortunately be returning the Z/Ronins. Chaco, this shoe is definitely a move in the right direction. A few improvements and it could be much better.
