Comfort
Fits like a comfy glove - by , Nov 07, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
These shoes are much more versatile than I thought they would be originally. They fit a little on the loose side which provides a level of comfort in a lower profile shoe that is unparalleled. I love them so much, I ordered another pair.

I first bought a set of Trail Gloves a year ago. I've never been more pleased. I've largely stopped wearing other shoes. This newest purchase has confirmed my opinion that Trail Gloves are the shoe for me. You owe it to yourself and your feet to give them a try.

I love these shoes for my workouts, because they keep my feet flat on the ground. When I am working out I feel balanced, I am not to far forward, backwards, right or left. Perfectly balanced.

Nice shoe, not as durable as earlier Trail Glove models - by , Oct 08, 2019
3/ 5 Stars
I have purchased 3-4 pairs of the earlier Trail Glove shoes and really like the fit, low profile, and light weight that makes them great gym shoes for weightlifting and I wear them walking around the city quite often. That's why I purchased the Trail Glove 5 in black at the end of July to replace the 4's that had held up quite well for nearly 1.5 years. I really liked the new design and they are similar to earlier models - lightweight, low profile and rise in the heel, and very comfortable to wear around and for working out. Seeing other reviews I ordered a half size down and they fit very well. Unfortunately after just a few months use in early October, the shoes have not held up nearly as well under usual wear (and with far less rain) than previous models. The glue holding the sole to the shoe upper near the toe on both shoes started to peel back after a couple weeks and has become more noticeable on one of the shoes. While they are still wearable I'm disappointed they have not held up nearly as well.

Very nice light hiker - advice on sizing spot on - by , Oct 06, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
I have a pair of Vapors that I really like so I ordered a second pair. I also ordered the Trail Glove 5 for a light hiker. When I first put them on, I thought the show was a bit over (heavy) for a 'glove'. The forefoot felt a little less roomy and too much instep 'support'. Then I went out and put about 3 miles on them. All my thoughts changed. The first part of the hike was single-track dirt (packed and loose). All the features of the shoe started to shine. Then the trail turned up and into a rocky mix with small, loose and sharp rocks. Now the TG5 really became the perfect tool. I am going to really enjoy this shoe on our trails. I wear a 9 M in the Vapors (and other Merrells such as Allertons). I heeded the advice to order smaller and got the 8.5 M. These fit well and are as long the other 9's I have. The 'snugness' first felt in the forefoot was not an issue on the trail. If these hold up as well as my other Merrell shoes I'll be buying these again!

a good update to Trail Glove 4 - by , Sep 30, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
I had worn out my Trail Glove 4 trainer, and found that no matter how I tried to wash them, I could not get rid of the foot odor. So I am hoping that the new materials being used in Version 5, which claim to be anti-microbial, actually do the trick. I did find that they are running large, so I had to order a half size down, as suggested. And it took about an hour to get used to the increased arch support. I don't miss the special no-tongue design of the Trail Glove 4, but I do miss the Molten Lava color, which was very hot.

"Trainer, what trainer?" - by , Sep 12, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
Without a doubt, the most comfortable training shoe I've worn. This was my first experience of a "barefoot" shoe, and I'm a convert. They're so light and yet my feet feel so secure. All that, and they look great too - I've had a couple of people ask me about my "turbulence" patterned trainers.
