The lug on this shoe is its best feature... great grip! This is my 3rd generation of Peregrine and my least prefered... though I'm still a fan of the Peregrine's. The fit is very nice but this model runs a little hot in the footbed. Great traction! I hadn't had these shoes long at all before I felt what I thought was my sock bunching up beneath the arch of my right foot. When I removed my shoe to remedy the cause of my discomfort I discovered that it wasn't my sock at all but rather the insole had slid from the heel forward and was the source of my grief. It soon happened with the other shoe as well and so I just removed the insoles... still tearing up the trails in this (in)sole-less pair of Perigrines.

Great shoe but - have an issue with the insole Great shoe, improvement from the last model. However When my feet and wet running downhill I find the insole slides forward from the heel and folds over bunches under the arch. It forms a wad of 3 layers thick, which is not ideal. Go no help from my shop or apparently the Saucony rep, so have to resort to gluing the liner in place. I believe it has something to do with the smooth liner of the shoe this year which was not there last year. Again, apart from this they are great shoes.
