I am in the military and currently have 5 pairs of Merrell footwear. I like them all. I purchased the MQC Tactical Boot about 3 months ago from a retail store in Fort Hood, Texas and the sole is separating from the rest of the boot (I wear them every other day, I rotate them with a pair of Danner boots) . With that said these are light weight, breath okay, not the best for walking on rough surfaces such as rocks, and for $140 I could have done a lot better. I will stay away from these from here on out and stick with Danner, Rocky, or Garmont for service boots.

These boots are so comfortable. They did not even need any break in time. I wear these boots everyday and they still look brand new. They are built well with quality materials you expect from Merrell. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs boots for work.

Great boots! They fit good, the wides give ample toe=box room for my feet anf they are very light. The only thing not giving them a 5-star rating is the forefoot could use some more cushioning. I have gotten some bruises on the bottom for my foot when transitioning from an elevated position to the ground (e.g., jumping down from trucks, loading docks, ledges...) I will gladly buy these again but would be much happoier if the the cushionng were upgraded on the front.

I’ve been waiting for Merrell to make a combat boot that meets 670-1 standards. They’ve finally done it!!
I’ve had these boots for close to a year. They’ve managed to hold up quite well in the sandbox; being worn daily. The fit is excellent, and the comfort is comparable to your favorite sneakers.
I will say that the only down part of these boots are the inside grommets by the arch, for breathability,, came out within the first couple of weeks of being worn. Honestly though, they’ve done fine without them.
All in all, I am very pleased with the quality of these boots thus far.
Keep it up Merrell!

I’ve had these boots for close to a year. They’ve managed to hold up quite well in the sandbox; being worn daily. The fit is excellent, and the comfort is comparable to your favorite sneakers.

I’m mostly happy with these boots. Fairly comfortable, no break-in required. The sizing is different from other Merrell products so I had to order a half size smaller than my usual Merrell size. There’s more toe-box room than some of my other Merrells; sometimes I order the wide sizes for more comfort but it was not necessary with this particular boot.

This boot provides an immediate comfort like a well worn in boot. I’ve found that the boot doesn’t do well against rope. Which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5. Durability is an issue with the MQC. But I’ve used these in some rough terrain in all types of weather. My other complaint is that they don’t make a small width. I don’t have wide feet so I tend to blister on my toes from movement inside the boot. Overall I love the feel. I’ve actually used these to replace my garmonts. If there is a way to order small wide. Please let me know so I can buy my next pair today.

Boots are a great fit. My foot measures size 13 Regular and they fit perfect. Excellent arch support light weight and great feel. I ran 1 mile on them right out the box and they felt amazing. High quality feel! I will follow up with another review in a couple months.

I was shocked by the lightness of this boot. There is quite a bit of room in the toe box, and the insole is exceptional. I was prepared to replace the insole immediately with something better (Superfeet, or Sole) but I honestly didn't need to. The standard insole is that good, with great arch support. I give this a solid 10+ for comfort. That said we'll have to see how this boot holds up over time. I'll take the light weight option over durability, so I'm OK with the trade off.
