I love these and wear them a lot but sadly the tongue is not gusseted, not even halfway up. For that reason I can't wear them in wet conditions because moisture gets in. Other than that they're a perfect lightweight boot. Hoping they consider fixing that on future models of this boot.

Although light and comfortable, there is a design flaw. Instead of riveting the top two lace hooks, the lower is a sewn eyelet. With normal usage, the eyelet broke free in less than two weeks
I am awaiting contact from customer service for resolution. If they cannot replace with a model that has two riveted lace hooks, I will be requesting a cash reimbursement.

Yes, they are comfortable, but not as durable as I'd like. I bought these last July. I've been reasonably careful with them, never wearing them for rough work. A couple of months ago a seam on the side of the instep blew out. The stitching tore out. Now I have a pair of boot with barely worn soles and a big gap in the side. I was expecting longer life out of them.

Now on my second pair of Moab Adventure mid boots! After walking
well over a thousand miles in my first pair, they're still very comfortable,
(A truly wide shoe), the tread is still decent, but I’ve worn out the interior.

I have purchased an additional three pairs of these Moab mid waterproof boots just to have available when the the two I am using now wear out.
Great shoes that are comfortable on the trail or in the mall. Anywhere actually. The support they provide has also made a difference in my weekly walks.
I have been completely satisfied with every Merrill product I have purchased.

Even before I first bought a Merrell boot, I was told by others how well made they are. I have purchased a Merrell boot for several years. Usually they fit a little snug out of the box. Within days they are comfortable. Excellent support. I will continue to buy them.
However, one complaint. The shoe strings do not stayed tied. I am uncertain why, but consistently I am tying and retying several times a day. It is not the knot, but I believe the material encourages sliding. Not a major concern since the important features satisfy better than any other shoe I own, including dress shoes.

Thank you for the awesome review! To avoid your spare pairs from getting hydrolysis in the soles (which will cause the soles to crack and crumble), we suggest you put them on about once a week and wear them for a bit.

The shoe allow me to walk extended distance that I was not able before. Shoes provide a stable base for my ankle that was replaced about five years ago. I am able to drive my tractors either lawn or field for extended times without pain.

So, I searched through Merrell's extensive offerings in hopes of a match only to realize the obvious—they were no longer made after so much time. I was about to give up and remembered they were 'Select Dry' boots.
After searching Merrell for 'Select Dry', I finally found an all leather replacement. Although a slightly different design, I am completely satisfied with the perfect and comfortable fit, which I realized the first moment I tried them on, and I look forward to a long waterproof relationship with them!
Based on my long term usage, I highly recommend Merrell's line of Special Dry boots.
