Comfort
Flaw in design - by , Sep 17, 2019

They were perfect giving you perfect comfort protection and agility, but after the race I was very disappointed because Vibram outsole teared apart, and a brand-new shoe, after one race I can-not use them anymore. It’s a pity such a perfect shoe to have that flow in design, in next design please make the outsole in one peace not to be divided in two parts.

Finally, a perfect cross training / circuit training shoe! - by , Aug 12, 2019

I have been a huge Merrill shoe fan for years. I had been hoping for a time when they marketed a shoe for all around training. While this shoe did not meet the description perfectly, I thought it was close enough to try. Bingo! These shoes are perfect (for me anyway) in the gym, on the road, on trails, lifting, box jumping, circuit training....everything. The toe box is larger than typical but is super comfortable and not at all troublesome. They fit perfectly with zero break-in time. Thanks Merrill....I knew you would come through.

Comfortable and god quality but fits large - by , Aug 11, 2019

I had to order a size and a half smaller than normal. Have not had a chance to use these shoes yet as I am still in the process of trying to exchange for a better fitting size. The rating may change if I can get a better fitting option and ability to actually try out the shoe.

Close to perfect - by , Jul 25, 2019

Like wearing no shoe at all but with protection, stability and the confidence you need - especially for recovering from PF. Also a big plus is plenty of toe box room which is essential for proper foot function.

Great Look! - by , Jul 24, 2019

The shoes look great but unfortunately the arch on the left shoe was a bit too high and bothered my feet. The right shoe was fine but the left shoe was not. It may be an issue with my feet but I've never really had that problem before. The quality of the shoe itself was fantastic.

Unfortunate update to a perfect shoe - by , Jul 05, 2019

This shoe is longer and much narrower than the Agility Peak 2. The material in the upper is also not as protective as the previous version. This is an unfortunate departure from what was for me the perfect trail shoe. So before you ask, "well why did you buy them then?" I should explain that I need size 15. Where I live, no one stocks size 15 and I have to go through interesting channels to get the shoes I want, which usually takes upwards of a month. Im not in the position to be trying on a bunch of different shoes to get the perfect fit. So when I find a good shoe, I stick with it. This is why I bought two pairs of the Agility Peak 2 shoes. I ran UTMB in them and they were absolutely perfect. I literally couldn't imagine a better shoe and told all my running friends how awesome they were (what shoes you wore is a very common question when people ask about UTMB). So recently I bought the version 3 with the intention of running Tor des Geants in them this year, but they are a completely different shoe. They are far too narrow to be suitable for ultra distance running. The upper is not nearly as comfortable or protective as the previous version. Im thinking now I'll have to wear one of my old version 2 pairs and hope they hold together for the duration of the race, since I've already done ~500km in them. As much as I like Merrell (I've probably owned ~50 pairs of Merrells over my lifetime), there really seems to be lack of purpose with their running shoes. If they had purpose, the designs wouldn't change so drastically and so frequently, and it would be clear what each shoe is for. What is Merrells ultra distance shoe now, if any? Please Merrell, if you have any of the old Agility Peak v2 in size 15 lying around, I'll pay almost anything for them right now!

Great protection and cushion perfect for high mileage! - by , Jul 04, 2019

Great trail shoe for long distance runs out on the hard pack dirt trails in Socal! Nice improvements with the gripy vibram sole. Shoe feels alot more responsive and firmer/solid than the previous model. I can run all day in this trail shoe with no issues. Almost as good as the old Merrell All Out Peak. One my all time favorite trail shoes. Again nice improvements love trail running in Merrells!
