Put comfort first with the Wolverine Aurora iCS™ Slip Resistant Lace-Up shoe. This women's shoe sports a leather upper with a breathable mesh lining and a traction-enhancing rubber outsole. The Individual Comfort System (iCS™) absorbs shock where you need it most and returns energy with every step in the Wolverine Aurora iCS™ Slip Resistant Lace-Up shoe.
This shoe is very comfortable and you can even remove the insoles and replace them with your own. You also have four settings in the heel to let you customize your shoes for enhanced inner support, increased outer support, firm support or extra cushion support. With the iCS adjustable system, you are able to customize your shoes to the most comfortable setting that's right for you.
I purchased these for my mother. She has had two knee replacements, one hammer" little toe" on each foot. One of her heels seems a bit larger than the other heel, and she was having trouble with stability because the shoes she had been wearing for a year had started to lose their shape and sturdiness. She was also having great difficulty with her hips aching, so it was a challenge to try and find a shoe that my budget could handle, yet still try to address what shoe would possibly be able to alleviate some of her issues.
So far, so good (one week). Less hip pain, lots of room for all toes, yet still feels like the right fit, the heels are not slipping, they are both nicely snug, the feeling of stability is there, and great skip resistant soles. I did order a half size larger because of some of the other reviews. I did not buy for style, but they're not so bad, and that's not what mattered most. I hope the greatness lasts.
I like the shoes a lot and I was hoping they woull get me through my work day without feeling fatigue and soreness in my feet because my work requires a lot of walking and standing for long periods, but sorry to say, the shoes did not help me much.
Purchased for mother that needs stability, roomy comfort (especially for toe area), but needs the heel to be snug, and not slip around. The shoes appear to be durable, the feature of having varied adjustable comfort points in the insoles, and the non-skid soles are a plus.
