I find the Uggs perfect! THey keep me warm, they provide needed balance, and they are good for a long period of time! One pair is over a year and still great! I hate socks and they are unnecessary with Uggs! Leaves wiggle room!
Downside, I am short and look short, but ahhh the comfort!

UGG boots run big - if you wear a half size, you should go down. Also make sure that you waterproof these. Other than that, they are GREAT!! very warm for the freezing winter.
