I recieved these boots as a gift from my husband, just before a major snowfall blanketed our area. I used these boot to walk to a pharmacy to which I normally drive. The boots were wonderful.. They were warm, comfortable and had good traction on ice and snow. I now want the black ones, too!!

Boots are cute and stylish enough to be worn with jeans or work clothes and provide acceptable amount of warmth. Traction is excellent, even in icy conditions. However, I wish the boots were just a bit higher in the calf to protect against the blizzard snowstorms we are getting thsi winter

I bought these about 8 months before I got to give them much use, when I traveled to Berlin in the dead of winter. The boots are comfortable and cute, but the velvety part of them started rubbing off with normal handling on the first day. Then within a week, the stitching on the back of the boot where the velvety stuff meets the leather wore out...the stitching failed leaving a hole, the velvety stuff came off and left white areas of bare fabric. The tread was OK in the ice and snow, but the rest of the boot wore out much too fast. I would return them if I hadn't bought them so long ago. I won't buy Trotters again.

I bought these boots because we were taking a weekend trip to Chicago in December and I wanted something a little snappier than my country boots. They're not terribly dressy, but they don't look dorky either. I had seen these and the similar ones that are a little taller in a local shoe store, but I have giant hard-to-fit feet (really size 11.5D, but I buy 12 because that doesn't exist) and they didn't have them in my size.

I really wanted the taller ones, but they weren't available. Now I'm glad I got this height. I saw the taller ones on someone the other day, and I thought the proportions didn't look as nice.

They are very warm, provide sufficient support, look very nice (also always an issue with enormous feet - they don't look like boats), and were surprisingly cheap. They're completely man-made, which I was worried about, but my feet were comfortable in them all day long. They kept the slush out too, and the soles have sufficient grip to make me unworried about slipping on the ice. Perfect.

Oh yeah, I've only worn them with pants, but I think they would look cute with a skirt and tights.

although these boots aren't taller (like most that are worn today), i bought these for the ease of wearing them to work in the wet/snowy weather then i change into heels. i like that they are shorter since they are ticked under my desk while at work, easy to change in and out of.
