I am a frequent Sofft shopper. Very disappointed this time. After reading mixed reviews, I decided to go for it. Bad decision. When I first tried them on, they did not feel comfortable. I figured I needed to wear them a while. Well, they still cause major hotspot pain, even with inserts.

If you are a fashion diva and willing to endure the pain....by all means get them. However, if you are not into pain for fashion....RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Heel is thinner than I expected. So, given that they run a bit big, I feel a bit "insecure" in them. I'm not afraid of a higher-heel, but I felt that the heel of this shoe appeared a bit wider and sturdier in the photo than it really is.
Otherwise, cute and comfy.

i love, love this shoe. I wanted a shoe that had a modern look to it for the winter, but is still comfortable since I do alot of running around chasing my two toddlers. This shoe definitely fits the bill. The first time I wore them, I got so many comments on how stylish they looked. I have to warn, though, the collar comes up to high around the ankle bone & my outside ankle bones felt crushed by the stiffness of the shoe. Over time, it has broken in so that it's only a mild discomfort. Unfortunately, this has also meant that the shiny, patent leather, has a big wrinkle on the outside under the ankle bone. Still, they're cute for church, wearing with tights, under skinny jeans, you name it. And I love the patent leather look, the styled stitching on the sides & the comfort in the actual foot bed.

I am a creature of habit and have been searching for the elusive comfortable black ankle boot for a few years... the last pair I found I bought 4 pair of and have been wearing them and repairing them. I bought this pair in patent leather... they made it a whole week and I am ordering them in leather. Ladies this is truly a good sign. Being truly a short person I need a little heel so for all you stylish divas try this one out.
