I live on a farm property and these shoes have good traction for walking in fields and pavement. I can use my orthotic insoles in them.

My last pair--the soles are still great after more than a year, but the uppers have separated from the soles.

I bought this shoe about a month ago and have worn it everyday since for good support (knee problems, ball of foot cushioning needed), comfort (wide available) and easy on/off (velcro). It is a much lighter and more flexible shoe than the Dansko oxfords that I have worn for years of pavement walking while traveling, and I'm not yet sure how my feet will feel after a day of city walking, BUT, so far, they're super. The velcro straps do have to be pulled over pretty far to fit me, and the result is not as sleek as I would wish, but the comfort is good. One advantage over the thicker-soled Danskos is that IF my ankles roll, I'm not as leveraged (as high up) to continue rolling.

My daughter has zero depth perception and is mentally disabled. She has never learned to tie shoes so when the velcro tennis shoe came out on the market it was fantastic! The last 2 years it has become more difficult to find the velcro laced shoe in her size...small foot, high arch, wide width. We went to several local stores we knew carried them only to find out that the stores weren't carrying them anymore. I ordered velcro laced shoes from a well known online shoe distributor only to have to return as the lace barely connected to the small patch of velcro on the other side. I continued to search on the Internet and found your company...I thought I will give it one more try and I am so glad that I did! She can easily put the shoes on as well as take off...she is more balanced when going up and down steps or facing different levels of walking areas. Thank you so much for making a good shoe...a shoe that works for my special needs daughter!

Be aware that "sport white" color is actually beige and not white. I was disappointed that I did not actually receive WHITE shoes. Other than that, it is a great shoe.
