The New Balance Minimus 10 is back and better than ever. This women's barefoot shoe features a soft and flexible lightweight synthetic upper for a customized fit; an EVA support cage lends structure. The NL-1 Last offers a minimal heel/toe drop and a broad forefoot that allows for natural forefoot splay and aligns with a midfoot striking gait. Cushioning and support comes from a lightweight ACTEVA® midsole for all-day comfort. The Vibram® outsole of the New Balance Minimus WT10v2 shoe delivers lightweight traction and durability on a variety of surfaces.
I really like how the shoes are a bit wider at the pad of the foot and narrower toward the heel. I have always been blister prone because of shoes being too narrow around the forefront of the foot and these give plenty of room. I'm in love
I LOVE the New Balance WT10. This is "WT10 v2" which is supposedly an improvement over the older model.
I am so disappointed and, also, concerned, because I've been wearing my ONE pair of WT10's to the exclusion of all other shoes for half a year, as they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn and wearing them has eliminated my chronic foot pain. Since they've discontinued them, I don't know what I'm going to do!
These may be fine for you. The "last" is supposedly the same, but they sure aren't as comfortable to me. The shoe feels bigger all around and they need tighter lacing to not feel sloppy. That's no way for a minimal shoe to fit. The WT10s fit like a glove, which is just right. I have a long foot for my height, with a narrow heel and low instep. I also found the sides of the instep to be uncomfortable on this shoe, even before I had to lace them tightly.
From what I gather, one person's great minimal shoe is another person's disaster, so, like I wrote, this may be great for you, but if you're already wearing WT10s and love them, you may be in for the disappointment I had. I don't know if it's the bad fit or what, but they also didn't feel as flexible.
I am a nurse and on my feet all day. I have wide flat feet and these shoes are the best when it comes to comfort. I can wear these shoes for 12 hours and my feet don't ache at the end of the day. Everybody asks me what kind of shoes these are and where can they get them. If you are like me with feet that are hard to fit, I highly recommend trying these shoes out. I assure you that they won't disappoint.
