The New Balance WR840 shoe is a neutral cushioning trainer for the biomechanically efficient flat-foot runner. This women's running shoe features a synthetic and mesh upper with a full-length EVA strobel board and an enhanced SL-2 last. ABZORB® FL midsole foam blends comfort and performance, while the ABZORB® insert offers cushioning and compression for the ultimate ride. The rubber outsole of the New Balance WR840 running shoe lends enhanced durability and traction.
I jokingly call my foot shape a "flipper" because I have wide toes and a relatively narrow heel. Usually if New Balance shoes are wide enough in the toe area, they are too wide and/or high at my heels, but not this style. This shoe is just right. I especially like that these shoes are lightweight, airy, yet quite cushiony, like some Saucony shoes I have had in the past. I tend to over-pronate; but, even though this style is for a flat arch, I have not had a problem with it. I wear these to walk for exercise, but also for running errands, etc., and have gotten compliments on the style.
