The first decorative section of the shoe above the toes is too stiff and rubs at first. It did soften up and become less irritating after while.

Very nice sandal. Very comfortable. However, I had to exchange the medium width I originally ordered for a wide width, which is a first for me as far as needing a wide width shoe. I would suggest that unless your foot is a narrow average width, you order a wide width.
