I bought the Naot Matai specifically for travel to France this summer. I wanted something comfortable and a shoe that looks good with different outfits. I have bunions, so usually Mary Jane type shoes cut right where my bunions are and are so uncomfortable that I cannot stand wearing them. That is what is so wonderful about the Matai. The top of the shoe comes up higher on the foot and does not stop right where my bunion is. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box and I know these will be great on my trip and will work with pants, skirts, and capris.

Ordered the Black Pearl/Hash thinking I could wear it with both black and brown pants. The black color almost looks like navy. I thought it would be a "true black." It doesn't look great with some of my black pants. It also has a gold trim between the upper and lower part of the shoe. Look carefully at the color choices. [...]

This is both a very stylish and comfortable shoe. I would wear it for casual, travel and work. It is beautiful and unique looking, which I really like, and at the same time shaped like a natural foot with comfort in mind. My only complaint would be that I wish it weren't so expensive. I will have to save up before I can purchase another pair.

Again, another wonderful Naot shoe. Can't say enough good things about Naot. Comfortable right out of the box and great color (copper w/ wine trim). I always get comments on my "wizard" shoes (that's what I call the Matai with the little swirl on the front). So cute and comfly. Even when they seem like they might be a tad short, my feet are always comfortable and well supported. No problems with my knees (arthritis) or toes/ball of foot (I have Morton's neuromas in both feet) when I wear Naot.

I like these shoes – they're very comfortable and a good quality product. The only issue I have with them is that they pull my socks down. Maybe they're too loose in back...? Not sure. But they're comfy without socks too.

I have a wide foot and unfortunately, the rounded top of the shoe is not boxy enough - I think it would be a great shoe for someone with not such a wide foot

With a number of foot ailments, like arthritis, bunions, Morton's Neuromas, a shoe has to be comfortable to make me thrilled about it. But style is often the loser in the most comfortable shoe. In the Matai, style is ramped up and made to sparkle. I ended up buying these in 4 colors and am expecting another older color combo. I have worn these with skirts, cropped pants, long pants, and jeans and they look cool with them all. While they can accommodate your own orthotics, there is adequate support that you don't need them. I wore them for days without my orthotics and me feet were happy!
