I read a lot of reviews before buying, and most were pretty accurate. The biggest complaint I read of and have since come to agree with is the narrow foot opening. Socks get pulled tight going through the opening, but once my foot is through, the footbed is very comfortable and feels true to size.

There is an odd stiffness at first in the footbed that makes walking feel a little awkward, but it goes away after a few days of wear.

Overall, I really like them. I like the color and the height and the low heal. I like to look good, but I have to be comfortable. They look great with leggings, jeans and jean-leggings.

Being from Florida I wanted a boot that served as many purposes as possible- stylish, comfortable, weatherproof. I brought these to Colorado and my friend there had a pair in black! We both love them. I can see what some people say about having to pull them on but once your foot pops in they fit wonderfully. Like all the Merrell's I've tried these are comfortable and have good support. The brown scratch so easily that I think that's the point- to give the leather some texture. I'm enjoying them and may get a pair in black next season.

Great waterproof winter boot. They are very comfortable and fit true to size. They are wide enough in the calf that you could tuck in your skinny jeans, but not so wide that you can't wear them with a skirt & leggings. Good for trudging through the snow or dressed up with a skirt. I have the brown ones and have gotten many compliments. They do scuff pretty easily, although this doesn't bother me.

Waterproof, comfortable, affordable and stylish all in one. Fit is very true to size but the leather is soft and stretches, maybe go a half size smaller. Soft leather also means that it scuffs easily, but it is easily shined back to life. I would call these 3 season boots, I wore them through the snow in Wisconsin recently and my feet stayed dry but they were cold.

My second pair of Merrell boots. They fit very well, with a little bit of heal slippage. They're lined and warm, but not good for super cold weather. I usually wear a 8.5-9 and bought a size 9 boot. Not too tight around calf and room for warm socks.
