My favorite shoe for everything except hiking. A stylish and comfortable flat with great arch support; a well-designed flexible footbed that functions like orthotics.
The Maryjane strap is flexible enough to fit wide insteps. The shoe is comfortable enough for city walking in dress clothes, or for casual wear with jeans. Walk in these for miles. You can count on Merrill for body-friendly footwear.
One caution: As I've found with all shoes with contoured soles, frequent driving eventually results in uneven wear.

These shoes are cute, but I bought them to wear when I work my part-time retail job. I have minor back issues, and standing on the slab floor is torture. I even developed plantar fasciitis in both heels. I bought my first pair, and only wore these shoes while working. I then got a second pair in brown. After just a couple months, my plantar fasciitis went away. I finally wore out the first pair of black, and decided I didn't want to even chance any other type of shoe. The Q-form alignment has done wonders for both my back and heels.

This shoe fits my orthotics well, is structured enough to give me the support I need, and still looks cute. They look good with pants for work, as well as jeans. I also wear them with skirts when I really need the support and stability; even though this is not the best shoe for skirts, it doesn't look bad and it saves me the pain I get from less supportive shoes. The only downside is that my heel slips out a little when I wear stockings/socks with them. This doesn't cup my heel as well as most (chunkier) Merrells do. This is a good choice for people who need a dressier shoe that still has support and stability.

I really wanted these shoes to work, but no luck! too wide even with full (thick) orthotic. Heel kept coming out with both orthotic and mfgr insole.
