I bought these last month and today has been the first day that it is cool enough to wear them. So far, I am very pleased. They are very comfortable, as most Merrells are. I like the furry lining. It is warm and wicks moisture well. They seem to be very typical of other Merrells I have owned and I have always been pleased with this brand.

Bottom line:: YES, I would recommend this to a friend

I gave the shoes five starts because they were comfortable right out of the box. No discernment involved. They are a smidge roomy which is fine because of the cozy lining. Also I've tried on tons of shoes this week, and they are absolutely the best so I wouldn't say its exactly a con unless you are extra sensitive to that-not enough to order down a size. I have narrow feet and they are as close to perfect as I'm ever going to find! I highly recommend them!

Bottom line:: YES, I would recommend this to a friend
