Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

I purchased these boots for walking/hiking in the dryer months, so can't speak to being waterproof. Otherwise I love them. For me, they ended up being true to size. The foot and ankle support is great. They act like much heavier hiking boots. The best part is no break-in needed!!

Service & Delivery comments:

I am very pleased with onlineshoes. I called the customer service department to check on sizing, as many people had indicated these boots run small, and was fully satisfied with the answer. It happens that my regular size worked for me, but the return policy was explained so I had no worries about what to get. The boots were packed very well. I received them very quickly. I will definitely use onlineshoes for purchases in the future!!

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

As a Retriever Trainer all of my work is outside in all kinds of conditions and Keen is the only "boot" that I wear, for comfort and stability.
When not at work, the most comfort and good feeling I've found the shorter version Targhee II to be my choice: I'm a walking Keen wearer 100% of the time. They hold up and give you the support you need when on your feet all day.

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

OK - I was REALLY hesitant to purchase hiking boots on-line. Especially ones where the manufacturer suggests you order a half size up. But after reading all the positive reviews this boot received I had to give them a try.

Right out of the box these boots fit like a glove. I wear a 7.5 and as suggested, ordered a size 8. I put these on with my smartwool socks and they didn't feel too tight. I have a high arch so I was a bit worried about the width and the toe box. No problems.

I wore them around the house for two days - making sure the fit was good. The next time I wore these was backcountry hiking in the snow. I am very pleased with these boots! There was no break-in period hence my moleskin never left the package. The first day of my hike was snow and ice combined. I put a pair of ice ceepers on the boots and the boot was still comfortable as can be. After a 6 hour hike, the boot was a bit wet, but it hadn't penetrated onto my socks. The second day - no creepers, just snow. The boots were great but still after a 6 hour back country hike the boots started to get a wee bit wet. It never seeped into my socks though. The boots were as warm as could be - even in the 17 degree temperature.

Today I had to cross a few small streams and walk along some very poorly drained trails. Again - the outside of the boot was wet - but the inside was still warm and dry. These boots are definatley a keeper and worth every penny. Down the road I may treat them with additional waterproofing oils, but right now they don't seem to need it.

These boots replaced some very trusty but old winter hikers. I hope to get my husband a pair of these.

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

Theses are the best Keen hikers yet. They are stiffer than the Targhee and Voyager, so more supportive for longer hikes and backpacking.

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

Needed a comfortable boot for daily hour long hikes with my dogs. Since I do mean daily I wanted a durable, comfortable boot that would work in everyday weather (rain or shine). The boots arrived during a 3 day rain period and I was disappointed with the waterproof claim. The boots couldn't take the puddles and the outside synthetic leather gets soaked and stays soaked (even from wet grass). I was hoping these boots would get me through some light snow days too, but I don't see them as waterproof in that regard. I kept them because of how comfortable they were especially the arch support (and there really isn't anyway to send them back once you've tested the waterproof claim). Overall, I am totally disappointed with Keen that this bigger somewhat bulky boot isn't really water resistant or waterproof.

I use these boots for freezing cold wet weather, and walking on ice. They are very good. The anke support is excellent, and the traction good. I do not want to EVER be without these boots in our climate.

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

This is the best pair of boots I have ever purchased. I work in the back country of the Great Basin. I am scrambling up lava beds and hiking in sandy/rocky conditions. I literally purchsased these boots online one day and wore them backpacking the next. There was no breakin period at all. This brand does run small compared to most brands. I normally wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8.5 that fits perfectly with smartwool socks.[...]

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

As with most Keens, always order a 1/2 size up from your nomal size. For ex I wear a 6, so for these I ordered a 6 1/2. Amazing shoes for under $200, it seems that Keen always delivers. I've had these shoes for about 5 weeks and they have yet to let me down in any way. Great toe box, great laces w locks, have no complaints at all. They did great in the pouring rain. They are however better suited to colder climates. I feel they are great for fall, winter and early spring but after that I use my other Keens with vents to keep my feet cool.

Solid, Rugged, Comfortable

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Comments about Keen Oregon PCT:

These are rugged, comfortable boots for women who need to not only protect their feet, but be comfortabl as well. They are sturdy, rugged, and comfortable. My only complaint is that they were too tight with thick and medium socks. Keen makes outstanding footware, but unlike their shoes, sneakers, and sandals which all fight exceptionally well, their boots are always snug unless one wears very light socks.

These are the absolute best pair of hiking boots I have ever owned. I use them for work (landscaping) and also hiking in the mountains. What a relief it is to finally buy a pair of hiking boots that actually ARE waterproof!!
