Second successful pair of this particular type: the vegan lace-up. This one is quite streamlined and is flattering to a size 11. I have a narrow foot, however, so a wider foot might be pinched. Very comfortable for walking on paved or compacted surfaces. If this pair lasts as long and continues to look as good as the last one, I'll be buying the future generation.

I love the easy comfort of them. I know it's all very particular, feet can be difficult; arthritis, etc. For me, these are the shoes I go to for work, walking around town, movies, and on it goes. I wear these shoes to serve at a restaurant. They are nice non slip shoes with great support. They were very stiff at first but after about a month of wear they have started to break in a bit more. they seem a bit too tight or short/shallow from top to bottom and I don't normally have this problem with shoes. Overall a nice shoe though.

They were comfortable from the moment I put them on, but pretty stiff. They are definitely more comfortable after having walked in them daily for a few weeks. I don't wear Earth shoes because they might burn more calories- I'm unconvinced that "exercise shoes" actually have this benefit (although walking uphill in these shoes is noticeably harder than typical 'flat' shoes). What I believe the shoes actually do is reduce the stress on my knees, improve my posture, and help stretch out my calves when I walk. I really feel the benefit physically when I walk in these shoes compared to my other walking shoes. I have a few pairs of Earth shoes and find each of them to be comfortable and durable. I'd definitely recommend them.

I use these for walking and everyday wear. They are cute. HOWEVER. The back part, where they circle around your achilles tendon is very stiff and cuts right into the back of my achilles area. I had to cut slits into the back of the shoe to relieve the pressure. I tend toward achilles problems anyway, and have done this with running shoes, but these shoes stood out as being uncomfortable like that right off the bat, which is why (I suspect) they were on sale. Otherwise, I feel like they give me a great workout when I walk.

Fey 2 Review:

This is a well made shoe. I love the cushioned insole and the style, but the heel back rubs uncomfortably and I had to put moleskin onto the shoe to keep from getting a sore at the top of my heel. I own Fey in black and it doesn't have the cushioning or arch support of of the Fey 2 which I have in brown. Fey is more wearable for longer periods. Maybe if I'd ordered a half size larger it would have been a better choice. I live in a tropical climate and I needed something to wear to work or church as an alternative to flip flops all of the time. The negative heel is subtle in this shoe.
