This is a quality shoe. Workmanship is super and so is the leather. The shoe does not have a buckle on the sling strap, it has elastic which is better. It does not have a nylon lining, but it is not needed because the leather is wonderful and soft. The heel is absolutely perfect, especially for those of us who have spent our adult lives in 3 inch stillettos and just can't do it anymore. Very feminine shoe, great with dressy jeans and business suit with short pencil or standard a-line skirt. Even works with a long broom skirt. Cut of shoe and heel height makes leg look shapely. Padding in footbed is fine, nothing special. I wish it had a bit more padding. There is no arch support at all. Only concern is that the leather is so soft, over time shoe may stretch out and get too big...but, too soon to tell in my first week. These are really super shoes and I plan on purchasing in brown...as soon as I determine if the leather is actually going to stretch out or not, then I'll know for sure what size my second pair should be.
