This is my go-to shoe. I own several pairs of Finn Comfort shoes and sandals and two pairs of this particular oxford, which has a wide toe box and a stablizing sole. I first bought Finn Comfort shoes three years ago for my mother who is in her 70s, was taking physical therapy to help with walking after a surgery, and needed a shoe that would hold her foot securley and comfortably. The shoes won us both over and I bought a pair for myself. I care about style and this is not a sexy shoe. But don't mistake it for an "old lady" shoe either. I like it when people are surprised to find I am not as young as I look. Part of the appearance of vitality is in the energy of one's gait. If you want to show off your confidence and bouncy athletic stride -- this shoe is the one for you. And yeah, it looks nice with jeans or trousers. Since buying this pair one month ago, I have covered about five miles of city side walk each day, in perfect comfort and, I like to think, with more than a little swagger.

A Wonderful Shoe

Ikebukuro is a wonderful shoe. This is my fifth pair. I discovered this style several years ago, when I could hardly get through my work day from foot pain. Ikebukuro and my orthothics rescued me: much nicer for city wear than an athletic shoe. These shoes last forever: I use the oldest pairs for birding an country walking, the newest ones in town. I was glad to see this latest pair, in the light tan with white toe cap, because my older pairs are dark colors, and the retro Keds styling is cute--and, in its way, stylish. My only reservation about these shoes is that the smooth leather takes more breaking in than the nappy leathers, so I'm still working on fitting these to my feet. But they do soften nicely from being worn around the house, and if necessary I will add a layer of lambswool under my sock on top of my midfoot, where the fit is a little tight.

These shoes finally gave me comfort enough to be able to walk without the horrible Tendon pain I had been experiencing after knee replacement.

Due to a bunion and pain under my 2nd metatarsal, I had decreased my walking distances. Decided to give Finn Comfort a try and glad I did. Now I know I will need to buy only Finn Comfort. I am able to walk long distances without pain.

I have a bunion on one foot, and neuroma on the other, and comfortable walking shoes are difficult for me to fined. I already own two pairs of Finn Comfort shoes; the low hiking -Gstaad, and Pretoria. I love them very much for the last 3 years. The Finn Comfort hiking shoos allow me to hike for hours without problem. I consider my new Finn Comfort Ikebukuro the most stylish and comfortable addition. Thank you for allowing me to stay active despite my problem feet.
