Get a style all your own with the 1460 8 Eye Boot from Dr Martens. The smooth leather upper of this classic boot gets a fresh update with a range of new colors. The signature Dr. Martens welted construction and original PVC outsole ensure long-lasting durability; trademark yellow stitching and an AirWair heel tab let you know you're traveling with an old friend.
The best thing about Dr. Martens was that their fit was geared to European feet. (Roomier, and not built to maim the fragile bones of our feet). The new incarnation of Doc's made in Thailand is not the same shoe. The seam across the instep and lack of room to get your feet into these boots is a major style change, and to call the 1460 boot Original is pure deception. I regret that I will have to continue wearing my 15 year old Original 1460's and return this inferior product.
love docs, but these aren't the original. this company sold to another, so as far as any support in the arch, there is none. Originally docs were formulated for support, and work tough. Not the same shoes, or boots, but I added my own support, and am glad I bought them. You should always buy slightly larger if your adding inside support...
I bought these boots a month ago and so far I am very satisfied with them! The only thing about Dr.Martens is they don't make half sizes which is a pain in the butt. I wear a 8 and 1/2 so I ordered both the UK 6 and UK7. The UK 6 was a little tight and the UK 7 was too big. After walking in both around my house, I decided to take the UK6. I'm glad I did because after wearing them for about 2 weeks, they fitted perfectly.
I was also able to return the other pair for free and without a problem which is always nice!
I use doc marten boots on a daily basis, as I know from experience that it takes literal years for them to fall apart. They are huge value for money, given the top quality of the boot, the sole and the stitching. They are the perfect boot for practical, comfortable walking, and are very "foot-friendly" boots, great if you suffer from any foot problems like bunions or bad feet in general. The only drawback is that they can be a pain in the neck to lace up and take off, but that's the only disadvantage that I see to wearing this boot. Otherwise, great buy, and I am extremely satisfied. Only other drawback is finding the correct shoe polish for oxblood/cherry-colored boot.
I had a pair of Docs simliar to these and wore them everywhere for 3 seasons/year. I hoped these would be a replacement. But they run way too narrow (I have regular, medium feet) and even a size bigger was still too narrow. Such a disappointment.
