EE/WW BOOTS, YEAH!!!

Searched high and low for a pair of low heel boots in the EE/WW size for my 10EE foot. I have a very high instep, very wide forefoot, narrower heels, thicker ankles & athletic 16.5" mid calves. I have plantar fasciiatis & bone spurs in my feet so finding shoes & boots that fit properly is a Nightmare! I wear extra thick cushioned Orthotics in both shoes. This limits my shoe choices even further. These boots have a removeable insole which allows me to wear my orthotics. It is a comfortable, snug fit for my high instep! Most EE shoes and boots slide up and down on my narrower heel, but these boots do not. I have tried many brands such as: Drew, Naturalizer, Propet, and other specialty "orthotic friendly shoes" sold by my Foot Dr., and they are not wide enough in the toe box/forefoot area. Unfortunately, I have only worn these boots around the house so far because the weather is still nice in NC so I cannot attest to the durability yet (Hence the 4 Star Review). They do seem to be of very good construction though. The low heel is comfortable and the leather is not stiff. They have a good cushioned insole already, but I am always looking for better arch support in shoes. The only thing I wish was different is the leather fold at the top buckle. It tends to stick out a little bit (it is supposed to give you a little more room in the calf area). I can wear my skinny jeans & leggings with them tucked inside, but not wider bootleg jeans tucked in ( just not enough room with my thicker legs). Hope this review helps someone to buy these Nice Boots! I don't think you will regret it.

Very happy with these boots

I was very happy with these boots. I have a terrible time finding shoes that feel good on my feet. I have a lot of foot problems and if a shoe is not wide enough I have a lot of pain. I was able to put my own insoles in also. They look great with a pair of leggings. I wear them all day and feel comfortable.

nice boot, but......

I found these boots to be very comfortable. I am on my feet all day at work on hard cold floors. The leather is very nice. The insoles have a nice amount of padding. The problem I had with them is that the zipper pull cracked in half and fell off. I returned the boots for a refund. I was reluctant to order another pair because of the cheapness of the zipper pull. It seemed to be made out of some kind of plastic-ish material. The rest of the boot seems to be very good quality, but I'm afraid of that zipper breaking again. I may add that the boots were not tight on my leg at all. They were a good fit. I was very sorry when the zipper pull broke.

Very disappointed !

I was so excited to get these boots, so it was along week ! I have been looking for xwide shoes that are stylish/ not orthopedic looking. I saw David Tate shoes come in xtra wide and decided to give them a try. These were the most narrow 'wide' shoes Ive ever seen! They'd be great for a narrow/extra narrow foot. They were very attractive and well made.....too bad not true to size. Online shoes hAs made my quest for finding a good fitting shoe easy !
