I agree the shoe has better arch support than a lot of shoes but is very lacking in overall cushion and support. I work on my feet all day as a nurse and I love the looks and style but could feel the pounding of the floor under every step. Luckily I ordered a little bigger than I needed so I added an additional full length cushion and a metatarsal support for which it had none.

I am a Chaco sandal user and believer. These feel and fit
a lot like the sandals. I tried them with socks also, and they
are just as comfortable.
I received many compliments, cute casual wear.
The only con would be, they dry a slower than the sandals.
