not padded enough, insert thin

i've worn for 6 weeks (200 hours heavy walking job) and they are ok but not padded enough. they are to narrow and rub outside of foot at little toe area. the insert is too thin (i took it out and was amazed at its flimsiness). i added green padding insert underneath which felt better at heel but toes too squished so i cut off the toe area of new insert but toes still felt pain from too much padding underneath. i looked at original insert again and saw that it has extra padding at toe area (i think highly unnecessary and painful). i don't walk to walk "up" like an earth shoe. of course that's going to cause the toes to overheat. another review said slippery on wet pavement so in my job when i approached wet surfaces i sampled if they would slip and they would. the soul is flat and non grippy. after 5 weeks of only walking (no kicking or stubbing) the front outside toe area is unglued and separated so they are not durable.

Finally!

I wear a women's size 12 and I need orthotics for pronation so it's very hard to find shoes. This shoe corrects my stance and relieves pain in my arches without the orthotics. The toe box is roomy and the heel doesn't slip. I love the way they support my feet.

I feel like I have new feet

This shoe was recommended to me both by my orthopedic surgeon and the pedorthist he sent me to to have my orthodics made. I have bunions and hammer toes on one foot and I believe that wearing spin shoes that were too narrow resulted in an inflammation which made it very painful to walk. When I tried these shoes on I felt immediate relief from the support, the cushioning and the wide width. They also accepted the orthodics very well. I would (and did) highly recommend these shoes to anyone with foot problems (and to anyone who just is looking for a really comfortable walking shoe).

make my feet tired

I use this shoe for general walking my dog around the neighborhood on sidewalks. I used to be able to find good walking shoes in my 12 N size, but now I am having a very hard time finding comfortable ones, even from my old standby brand, New Balance. I was also looking for a tan shoe, and I thought this shoe looked as if if had a thick, comfortable heel and was supportive. But the shoe has been a real disappointment. Over time my feet have become very bony, and this shoe is just not cushioned enough. When I wear them for any length of time, my feet just feel tired. I don't know how else to describe it.

A great walking shoe!

I bought these shoes for a walking tour of Washington, DC. I have been wearing them on long walks and could not be more impressed with feel and fit. I have had foot surgery and find good walking shoes that are comfortable for LONG walks difficult to find. These shoes are wonderful. I will be wearing them on sand and sidewalks several times this winter./spring.
