After Months- Cute, Comfy and Waterproof

I have very limited space for shoes, so the footwear I keep has to look great, be comfortable and perform. These boots look really cute in the city, freshly washed and paired with skinny jeans. In the country they keep my feet dry and warm when I feed the horses. If they get muddy, I throw them in the washer! Although some reviewers feel they are not waterproof, they are. I tested them repeatedly (by standing in a creek) and there is no question- they are waterproof. What may confuse the wearer on the waterproof issue is that they can be a little sweaty on the inside from extended wear and it feels very damp, but it is only sweat. The boots have a cozy fuzzy lining, so it is tempting to wear them without socks, and I do for short periods of time, but for hours of wear you need to wear socks. I avoid this "wet" feeling by wearing good absorbant socks like Real Wool socks and putting the boots near an air vent at night, propped open so they can dry on the inside. I wear a size 9.5 and ordered the 10 so that I could wear thicker socks in the winter, but these boots are stretchy so one could just order their actual size or go down a half size if needed. The boot does lend itself to heel dragging as one reviewer pointed out, but with a little attention it is not a problem. In this respect they are a lot like the old UGGS- they are so comfy and soft you can forget you are not in your slippers. I could go on and on about how much I love these boots! Suffice it to say, they are everything I hoped for and more.

One is good, one is not

the right boot doesn't seem to be cut the same as the left. It is tight on my calf which makes it scrunch up at the ankle. I would have sent it back, but have worn it already. If the right fit as well as the left, they would be my favorites!

Not for the Summit, For Autumn.

These are really comfortable and easy to slip on and off if you order them a little bigger. I imagined them as waterproof and warm, including wearing them from Winter to Spring. Unfortunately, I do not think they are actually waterproof and I think the sweat that accumulates makes it worse. It's too bad the rubber covering doesn't extend up the toes because they really don't block the cold the way I expected. Since I had to wear these boots a couple times to figure these things out, I can no longer return them. I will now be searching for yet another lightweight commuter boot for Winter cycling and outdoor existence. If you are looking for a simple, comfortable Fall boot, these seem like a good match.

Like wearing socks/slippers

Great boots; anxious to try out in the rain. They do feel snug- but not uncomfortably so. They lived up to the reviews I had read before ordering. They're very lightweight so plan to travel with them, as well.
