I read all the reviews and purchased the shoe in my normal size, but the shoe was at least a size too big. The return/exchange went through without a hitch[...] I barely got through church before I had to take them off.

This shoe is so classy but could be worn with a toned down outfit as well. I wore this to a very upscale event and felt that it was very appropriate but will wear these shoes again to less formal occasions. The balls of my feet did start to hurt after about an hour but that is likely because I don't wear high heels frequently. Love this shoe.

I wanted a versatile shoe to take on a 3 week cruise .. one that could be worn for the formal nights ... and also to wear to dinner with slacks, This shoe did both - the lacy look is subltle but adds a little pizzazz to the shoe and it is not too fancy to wear everyday .LOVE the shoe , happy i purchased it

I REALLY did like the fact that these shoes were stylish AND gave me almost a half-inch of height at the ball of my foot (which is a half-inch I didn't have to have on the heel), which I find to be ever so much more comfortable than having all the height at the heel. The BIG problem is that the shoe was so much larger than I expected. Occasionally I wear an 8-1/2W but most often I wear a 9W. I believe I would take an 8 in this shoe.
