Comments about Aravon Farren:

This shoes has everything that I was looking for: style, comfort, and quality. It is the most expensive shoes I've ever had and it is worth it. I wear size 6 or 6.5 and I chose 6.5 for this one and it fits me perfectly. It goes with everything except the formal wear. I wear it to work, going around town, etc. and love it.

Comments about Aravon Farren:

I normally wear an 8 1/2 M but I had to send these back for a 9 M to accommodate my custom orthotics. This is one of two pair of shoes that fit my orthotics, but this shoe is far more fashionable than the other pair. I intend to buy them in leather the next time.

Comments about Aravon Farren:

I'll never throw my old Aravon sandles out and these are just as comfortable. I treated them for water protection and with a brushup they are like new. With my neuropathy the snug fit is especially supportive as I have a narrow foot. Folks with borderline sizes might consider the shoe is snug. I wear them nearly every day - a preferable choice over clunky, sporty tennies. [...]

Not as comfortable as expected
By PatVerified Buyer from Waterford, NY on 10/23/2009
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Aravon Farren:

I expected extreme comfort like in the Aravon Mia shoes that I have. These were not as comfortable as the Mia. The sole didn't seem as sturdy and the cushioning wasn't there. The Mia shoe is roomier than the Farron.

Comments about Aravon Farren:

I tried on this shoe after working on aching feet all day. I thought it might be an unfair test of their comfort, but once I put them on, my feet stopped hurting! I wore them all day the next day, meaning 9 hours on my feet. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, and I've tried just about every brand made in a size 13. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone who works on their feet- plus, they are good looking, too, for this type of shoe. The only drawback I've seen with them is the insole has started wrinkling up from the heel- nothing that kept me from ordering another pair in a second color!

Pros:

Cons:
Shoelaces too short
Best Uses:
Work
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Aravon Farren:

If you're looking for a comfortable pair of shoes that you can use with your orthotics, this is a good bet. They have a lot of room in them, but don't look boxy. Oddly enough, I had to replace the shoelaces that came with them because I could barely tie the laces in a knot once I adjusted the shoe for width.

Comments about Aravon Farren:

These shoes have saved my feet! I was having considerable foot pain from low arches, wearing shoes with no support, and foot strain. I needed a pair of casual shoes that would offer the same amount of comfort and support of sneakers--without being sneakers. I purchased the dark brown color, and was so happy with them a few days after wearing them, I purchased a pair in black.

They are definitely my "go to" casual shoe. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. And did I mention that my foot pain has completely resolved? The footbed molds to your foot, so within a few days of wearing them, you have a shoe that perfectly fits your unique foot. Made by New Balance, these shoes have all the great features of New Balance athletic shoes, without the sneaker look.

shorter and narrower for a 6.5 M
By TN WalkerVerified Reviewer from Morristown, TN on 4/20/2009
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:
Feels too narrow
Pros:
looks good
Cons:
Irregular Fit
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Comfort Driven
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Aravon Farren:

This shoe, despite the description of a wide toebox, etc. was shorter and narrower than my other size 6.5 M shoes. I have a bunion on right foot and hoped this would be suitable. But it's about a half size smaller than most size 6.5Ms. Also, as another reviewer indicated, shoe strings are a little short but that could easily be remedied by buying another pair of strings. My toe came all the way to the end. You could definitely not wear socks with this shoe. I returned them.
