I have owned this wallet and have used it everyday for the past eight years. It actually got softer and more pliable over time and is still gorgeous. I am a check writer and use this wallet as the only place I keep checks, and all sorts of credit cards and other little things in the zipped pockets. I have similar items from both C, MK and D&B, but this Anuschka is the only one I have used constantly for all this time. There's not a dropped stitch or any damage to the leather - that's how durably made this piece is. To this day every time I pull it out of my purse to write a check in a store, someone will say - I love your checkbook, what is that? My family teases me that I will end up bequeathing this wallet to someone many years from now - that's how good it still looks and how well it has held up to my dragging it in and out and in and out of my purse - at least a billion times in eight years; right? There's a tiny bit of fading on the V portion of the closure flap, because of my fingers opening and closing it over the years, but it's a work of art and a painting, so that's to be expected, paint will wear it you touch the same place a million times. But that's the only spot on the wallet that has any fading at all. Oh, and by the way, the closure is fabulous. I pack this thing with my checkbook that has duplicates, so it's a thick book of checks, then all those cards and stuff hidden away inside, and it still closes easily and never had popped open. This is a piece of art you can look at everyday, and that will last you forever, which makes it a great buy at any price. You won't be disappointed if you buy this checkbook wallet. I'd give it 10 stars if they had 10 to give!!!!
