About Timberland
Timberland makes boots and shoes for women, men, girls and boys that work in the great outdoors and look great in urban environments. It all started more than thirty years ago with the Timberland 6 Inch Premium Boot, the first in a line of Timberland work boots: A rugged and dependable waterproof boot that Timberland holds up as the role model for all of the other boots they create.
The company's latest effort is the Timberland Earthkeepers collection, eco-conscious boots and shoes: Earthkeepers products use recycled Green Rubber™ in their soles, and some are even designed to be fully recycled after use. Timberland has partnered with Wyclef Jean, Grammy Award-winning musician, humanitarian, and Goodwill Ambassador to Haiti. Wyclef is one of seven Earthkeeper Heroes within the company's Earthkeepers program, which aims to catalyze a global movement of environmental and social activists.
Timberland also produces Timberland Pro work boots, made to perform in industrial settings. Features of these high tech, durable boots include steel toes, electrical hazard protection, metatarsal guards and non-slip outsoles. Popular Timberland Titan work boots are heavy duty yet lightweight.
As a company, Timberland is dedicated to corporate social responsibility. They plan to become carbon neutral, to design recyclable products, to ensure that their workplaces are fair, safe, and non-discriminatory, and to foster employee community service.
