The pebble leather is soft and sturdy. The multiple pockets are extremely practical. Online shoes offers an excellent price for the bag- the leather on the chocolate, and the scarlet options, are high quality.

I ended up sending this back, While it's very nice -- stylish and certainly functional with the convertible strap and all, I wasn't impressed overall with how it looked. It was the shiny and somewhat hard yet thin type of leather that I used to see used in really cheap leather jackets -- so maybe I judge this bag unfairly by thinking it would crack and fall apart like those leather jackets used to. Nevertheless, I didn't want to risk it. I might have taken a chance in a different color, but another black bag is easy enough to come by.
