These were the first mail order shoes I have ever bought. And I'm hooked. I've tried all the major brands, and most needed replaced within 6-9 months, not to mention the 2-3 week breaking in. These needed less than a week before I was totally comfortable. I'm going on a year with these boots and could probably go 6 months more. I actually find them more comfortable than my New Balance walking shoes and they are made to the same standards.
You will not be sorry for purchasing these. One hint though, it was recommended when I ordered these in the store, that you get a 1/2 size bigger for the steel toe. I'm glad I did, there's a little wiggle room, but nothing uncomfortable.
