I loved the previous topo sole model of this shoe. They were very comfortable and lasted a long time. The sole on these shoes squeak whenever you walk across a smooth surface, such as vinyl (Linoleum), tile, or laminate flooring (Pergo). Each little square on the bottom acts like its own squeegee scraping across the floor. As you walk, this gets very noisy.

Great shoe, very comfortable, great for work or for casual outings. I've always had success with shoes from this manufacturer, and I keep going back to them.

Bought these based on a previous pair of similar Merrells, which have been among the most comfortable, long lasting shoes i have owned. Wanted something good looking and comfortable for office work, and was not disappointed. Have tried other similar, 'cheaper' brands and they were just that - cheaper! Well worth the extra money to have the comfort and durability that Merrell provides.

These shoes were very slippery on almost every surface that wasn't completely dry. Very dangerous in a restaurant.

Not as comfortable as the topo moc. Don't know why Merrell plays around making a great product like the Topo Moc into an okay product like the Encore Moc.
