every Dr. Marten product that I have had has been great. this is about my 12th pair of Dr. Martens
Best work shoes ive ever worn I put them on and it felt like they were pre broke in . my feet dont hurt after 10 hourd on my feet .
I am an engineer. I wear this shoe everyday in a manufacturing plant where steel toes are required. I have tried many steel toed shoes and found this to be the most comfortable. I prefer wide shoes, and this one is plenty wide. The shoe is casual and stylish. It looks great with business casual clothes. The only negative I have found is that the heal wears down from my walking style. It tapers off on the outside of the shoe. Other than that, the leather holds up well. I had these shoes for 3 years and recently bought another pair. I would buy these shoes again.
I bought these shoes 5 years ago and I still wear them today. I bought them not for work but to wear casually. I was tired of other shoes with a plastic molding in the toe wearing out eventually making the shoe wear out. The steel toe keeps the shape of the boot, protects your feet, the greasy leather fends off stains, water, anything.
This shoe is perfect for my construction office job, but still provides the steel toe requirements when I go out into the field. No more changing into boots or shoes with steel toes on those rare occassions when I leave the office! They have been amazingly comfortable and after 3 weeks in the dirt parking lot and a dirty office, look as good as Day 1 with no hassles to keep them clean.
Thick soles last longer than most, tough leather on steel toe stands up to work well.
I only wore them once and within a hour I had huge blisters on both my heals that were bleeding. These are work shoes and the next day for work I luckily still had my old ones I had to wear those. I hope they will feel better next week ( I have a weekend to heal). I would not buy these shoes again.
I purchased these shoes because I needed a steel toe shoe for my job. I work in IT for a manufacturing company, which requires me to not only spend a lot of time in the office, but also travel throughout the shop floor on a regular basis. This shoe is nice enough to wear to an important office event like meetings and luncheons, and still provides an important safety feature while working on the shop floor. As an added bonus, they grip the floor in the more oily places of the shop very well, much better than my last pair of shoes.
If possible, order a 1/2 size bigger than you normally would. I do have very wide feet (D) and they broke in w/in a week. Otherwise very comfy. Also very heavy, but hey, they're steel!
This shoe is awesome for work... and comfortable enough to wear out on the town... They are Dr. martens in quality and look... this is my third pair in 5 years... They hold up well... all they require is an occasional shine... and they still look decent when they do get beat up. They are comfortable shoe when they are new and when they are 5 years old.
I've owned DM shoes for many years. For the first few days they alway press on my achilles heel until they break in. The material on these around that area is fairly corse compared with other DMs smooth leather.
My favorite part of having a new pair of Doc is walking around on the new sprongy rubber souls. I failed to notice in the photos that this soul only exists around the perimeter of the shoe soul surrounding a harder more plastic center. I'm sure this will make them last longer, but without the supreme comfort of the older style shoes.
I walk a lot at work pulling orders jumping off a forklift and jumping back on one. these shoes are very confortable and they have steel toes.
Felt broke in as soon as I put them on. These shoes wear like iron, I've had them for several months and abuse them daily, yet they still look new. I am now and will forever be a Dr. Martens fan.
