I bought these boots for casual use because I had a pair of low top dr. martens before them. They are made of great leather that is not only really tough but looks good too. Although I pulled the left stitching from the puller on the left boot, it was nothing that I ever heard of. I sent them back and they gave me a new pair within a week. I work on a horse farm and have been through many other brands, RedWing, and Wolverine for example. Im not downing those boots but they are not as durable as these. I got a pair for just casual use but started using them for work, so I bought another pair just to wear casually. Another great thing about these are the ankle supports on the side. Not only are they protective but add to the comfort as well. You are getting more than your moneys worth.

I have tried to find a slip on safety boot, being a women with a size 7 , very difficult. I am a Quality Control Inspector, I do Field inspections, concrete and also paving operations where I am walking all day, and I have found these are the most comfortable boots. that is why I bought two pairs. After wearing the first pair a week or two I got the second one I wish they had it in black but I liked them so I went ahead , got the same color due to these where the last pair in my size.

I work in a shipyard (toxic and caustic, greasy, cold & hot, wet and slippery environment). These boots take a beating and they don't slip on steel surfaces. They grip ladder rungs well. Steel toe doesn't dig into my feet.

I am on my feet on concrete for at least 10 hours per day and my feet don't bother me at all. I have been wearing the boots for about a month and I am very satisfied. I will be buying another pair when this pair is worn out.

The calf padding makes this boot difficult to put on and feels too roomy in the foot for a woman. Maybe men don't have the problem. Not at all comfortable in the soles and not a good choice for motorcycle riding -- too stiff around calf and too loose at ankle.
