No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I used these boots for 2 weeks at work and the stitching that bonds the sole to the boot at the toe was showing. the leather seems cheap and not durable. the steel-toe is huge which makes them feel a half size too big and cut off circulation when crouching.the bottom line is that im a mechanic so i need comfortable shoes that can take a beating. my previous boots were Timberland and lasted 1 1/2 years, im going back to those.

These boots were great from day one. I brought my older pair of boots the first day I wore them dreading the break in I usually associate with new boots but I never had to use them. Light weight and very comfortable.
