I've been looking for a sturdy shoe that doesn't pinch my toes. I finally found one. I've been wearing sloppy canvas footwear but realized for my back's sake, I needed something better built. These seemed to be my answer and at the right price. They are worn daily for household chores, shopping, walking and leisure. Being as well built, they won't need replacing for some time. At age 80. maybe never!
The order was placed and in no time I was wearing them.
The shoes arrived very quickly and they were the most comfortable to wear.[...]
Generally satisfied for a nice looking shoe with a semi-dressy look with pants and a sport jacket. However, I was looking for the cushion, support, and flexibility of a running shoe also. Hard walking on pavement. I needed to purchase inserts.
I spent years and many dollars buying very good quality athletic shoes hoping for stability, comfort and style. I must be a slow learner because I have finally found the ultimate shoe for satisfying all of those requirements.
I bought a Rockport walker 30 years ago when I visited and walked around Europe. I still wear those and still love them. Need a new pair now only because the heel is just now showing wear.
I have a pretty narrow foot (AA foot/AAAA heel). This does fit fairly well, but I do have to wear a thicker sock with it. It would be nice if it were a little more narrow. Doesn't breathe terribly well-gets warm. The arch support is okay but not great (I have high arches). Fits more like an athletic shoe. I wear a 9 athletic shoe and 8-1/2 in other shoes. I initially got the smaller size and had to exchange. [...]
This shoe feels comfortable from day one. I wear it all the time, have done so for years. I like that it is recommended by the Podiatry Association. It is very supportive for my feet. I used to have a lot of hip or leg aches when I would stand a lot and this shoe gets rid of that. I can walk, hike, and stand in them and last much longer at those activies than with other shoes. The only thing I wish is that there was a sport type shoe, or sneaker, that had the same support and durability. I have tried the same brand of sneaker and not been as happy with it.
THESE SHOES ARE MADE FOR WALKING.
THEY FEEL GREAT AND NEVER LEAVE BLISTERS.
I HAVE SEVERAL PAIR, AS I WALK DAILY.
I have 6 pairs of these shoes and have worn them for 16 years. I travel everywhere with them. I just replaced my oldest pair with the ones I just bought. They are like a very comfortable pair of slippers from the first time I put them on. For outside pronators they give a lot of support. Some of my ProWalkers have more miles on them than the tires on my car and they are wearing better too.
I have a difficult time finding shoes that are supportive enough for my feet. These shoes fit great and feel comfy. They are my go-to-work shoes from now on.
THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS PULLED OVER LAST THE SAME.
I HAVE TO WEAR ORTHODICS IN THEM AND THEY ARE ONLY SHOES I HAVE FOUND THAT FIT.
On my fourth pair, only because my loyal dog stole one of a pair and hid it irretrievably, to keep me from leaving her, and the sole of the other wore down after 20 years of hard use. I have two pairs left -- brown (which I just bought to replace the thief-dog's booty) and black. These are the most comfortable, durable, nice-looking, go-with-a-lot-of-clothes shoes I own! Worth every penny. I have a fairly high arch and narrow heels, but the medium is just perfecto -- outstanding support. I can walk and run and cavort in these all day long, honestly! The leather gives enough flexibility for any kind of socks, so I wear fuzzy woolies for extra warmth.
I ordered a 6W. The box said 6W, but the shoes were actually just a regular 6. The other pair I ordered was the wide like I ordered. So the 6 is a liitle bit stiff/uncomfortable where the tongue where the laces are tied, whereas the 6 W are more comfortable. Since I can wear the 6, I didn't send them back.
The color what a bit lighter than what the picture looks like. Not a super big deal.
I have been extremely happy with my purchase. I will buy more in the future.
This a very comfortable walking shoe and also good for general use. I haven't had them very long and don't know how durable they are, but with Rockport I'm sure they're good. I think they're a good looking shoe and nice and warm in cold weather.
I have been wearing this style for the past 6 years, and they are consistently comfortable. I have walked through puddles, mud, and snow, and they always stay dry inside. They also fit my orthotics, which is great because I walk a lot and if I my feet don't feel good I am very cranky!
I needed new shoes for work. We changed our uniform policy and these shoes are perfect! I have to wear khaki pants and the chocolate brown color looks great. They look great with jeans on the weekend too.
I wear a size 8-C. No one seems to make a C in casual shoes any more, so I usually buy a B and stretch it, or try a D. I have had this shoe in a B for a couple years, and had to stretch it before it was comfortable. I can wear it for several hours, but not all day, comfortably. The D, however, had to go back, as it is very wide. This is a comfortable shoe, generally, but when I have worn them a long time, I find that the tongue (which is very long) rubs my leg right where my leg turns vertical from my foot. The shoe, even though it's nubuck, cleans up well with a wire suede brush. If you wear an average width shoe, you'll probably like this one for walking and travel. It is a very warm shoe, however, so I wouldn't recommend it for summer walking. But then, it's no warmer than a running shoe....
I wear them everyday and cannot live without these great shoes!
I have two jobs - a desk job and an I'm on my feet all day job. I am comfortable all of the time.
The only drawback is the suede - but the sprays help keep them looking fantastic.

I HAVE NARROW FEET AND IT'S VERY HARD TO FIND SHOES THAT FIT. I PURCHASED THESE SHOES BECAUSE I'D NEVER HAD A BOOT STYLE. I TRYED THESE SHOES ON, WALKED AROUND THE HOUSE AND FELL IN LOVE. THE SHOES FELT GOOD ON MY FEET, MY FOOT DID NOT RUB UP AND DOWN. I KEPT THE SHOES ON FOR A COUPLE HOURS AND FORGOT I HAD THEM ON. I WILL BUY ANOTHER PAIR.

I wear them to work I'm on my feet a lot and I fine them very comfortable.
Look great with my jeans.
I've worn Rockport's (original) sport white ProWalker for . . . ever. It is the only shoe I wear now. The quality, comfort, and foot support is unsurpassed - a true classic. Locally, the stores stopped offerring the women's (I even tried on men's!). Then, I found them available at Onlineshoes and never purchased anything so fast.
Problem: Rockport seems to be replacing this wonderful product with the ProWalker World Tour Classic. I found this lighter weight shoe to be stiff and very ill designed because the shoe "tongue" was too long and too big making it difficult - not possible - to walk. I also preferred the higher cut and the (sport white) leather of the original shoe.
I do hope Rockport will continue to offer the original women's ProWalker - a true and respected classic. No changes needed.

I only wear Rockport brand. With a wide foot, these walking shoes cannot be beat!

third pair of these shoes. simple the most comfortable shoe. love them!!!
I'm a pharmacist and I stand nearly all day long on really hard concrete floors with not much padding. I purchased these on the recommendation of my husband who wears them when he is teaching.
My previous "work" footwear has been athletic shoes with an extra thick gel insole recommended by my doctor, because I went through a pretty painful case of plantar fasciitis last year. Once you remove the "factory" insole and replace it with the insole of your choice, these are pretty darned good shoes for "standing all day." The main advantage over athletic shoes is that these look a bit more "sporty/casual" and go well with "business casual" attire, whereas my athletic shoes only "went" with scrubs or jeans.
The only problem I have is that even with the "wide" size I purchased, the shoe is just a little bit tight on the "little toe" side of my right foot. I'll chalk that up to a history of a previously broken toe, since the left shoe doesn't seem to have that problem.

I have chronic plantar fasciitis, and since I've been wearing these shoes my feet feel much better...exercise has been more comfortable for me! Buy this shoe, you won't regret it!

I'm a pharmacist, who stands all day on very hard concrete floors. My husband, who teaches continuing education classes and spends a lot of time on his feet, recommended them to me. I had plantar fasciitis in the past , so my doctor advised that I always use a really thick gel insole, generally inside an athletic shoe designed for walking.
Once you pull out the factory (removable) insole and replace it with your insole of choice, these are great. They are sporty but much more stylish than athletic shoes. I can wear them with "business casual" outfits for meetings, etc., whereas my athletic shoes pretty much only "go" with scrubs or jeans.
My only complaint is that the nubuck stains more easily than regular leather. I got these because they did not have my size in the black leather at the time, but I like the fit and feel so well that when they had the black ones available, I bought a pair of them, as well.
I like the sturdiness of Rockport shoes. I have purchased them before, and I will continue to purchase them in the future.
Thanks for a great product.

I have been purchasing Rockport sneakers for several years and find this shoe to be the best. I purchased the black, brown and brown suede. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it in white in size 6.5W.
If it is available, please let me know.

I'VE BEEN WEARING THIS ROCKPORT "DRESS" WORK SHOE FOR YEARS... ITS GREAT TO WEAR TO WORK WITH ALL PANTS, ETC. SHOES LIKE THIS THAT LOOK LIKE WHAT "GUYS" WEAR, ARE THE BEST SHOES FOR WOMEN, ALSO. IF ONLY i COULD FIND IT IN STORES... CANT ANYMORE. WONDERFUL, ONE OF THE BEST, MOST COMFY FOR WALKING, BEING IN ALL DAY LONG
I love Rockport shoes. They are true to size, and comfortable. They never hurt your feet--not even the 1st time you wear them. I know exactly how they will feel and fit whenever I order them, and feel comfortable ordering them online.
I have foot problems, and my podiatrist gave me an "approved shoe list". I originally bought these because they were one of the few choices on her list that weren't athletic shoes with wild designs since I needed something more conservative for work. I also wear orthotics, and they don't slide around in these like they do in some other shoes. I can be on my feet in these for hours on end without any significant pain. I just ordered a couple more colors. I wish they came in more color choices. I also live in snowy northern Iowa, and these shoes dry out without staining.

We "My Husband and I" have been buying rockport for a few years now. We are both on our feet for many hours in a day, and these are the best we have ever found. We have a hard time finding shoes that look good and have the comfort. I am a bit sad that Rockport will no longer be making a size 17" for men. For that is what my Husband wears. And for any one that has a large foot, they know it is hard to find a good looking and comfortable shoe, Like the ProWalker World Tour. Much less finding a good shoe in the size 17" and larger. So if you are one of the people that need a large shoe and still want to buy Rockport help me keep them. We will still buy, But I NEED 17 for men please.

[...]They run a little large, but that's okay. With thicker socks on they fit good. They are really good looking shoes. Will purchase this brand again.

I have found through ordering and sending back 3 pairs of shoes by this company that they are about 1/2 size smaller than other companies. I ordered this shoe specifically for a walking trip to Europe. I have "flat feet" and found that I still needed to add commercial arch supports. Not especially stylish, but better than tennis shoes.
I have a really hard to fit foot, my heel is very narrow and these shoes are perfect. They give me proper support for my arches, stay on my foot, look nice and support my back when walking or shopping. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't find this shoe. I of course, would like a little more sexy shoe sometimes, but I just can't wear them. I have had a hard to fit foot since the get go and it hasn't gotten any better with age - only worse. I really appreciate these shoes. I do get lots of compliments on them.
I still have to tie these tight and my laces wear out way before my shoes do. I never can find the exact same laces for the shoes and would like to.
I've been buying these shoes for almost 15 years now, and they are always the same - there's never any surprises in fit or quality.

They are so comfortable and never hurt my feet. A lot of shoes do because I have bad feet.
I never heard of Rockport and when I saw these shoes, they were exactly what I had in mind. I waited months to buy them until I found a good deal. I read all the reviews and everyone said they were true to size and really comfortable. The shoes arrived about twenty minutes before I had to leave for work so I eagerly opened them and started to put them on. The first thing I noticed was there was a smear of glue on the left show from where the sole was glued to the main shoe. Looking closer, I found spots of glue on both shoes. I figuered I could exchange them later and wanted to see how they fit so I put them on and went to work. They were not comfortable from the start, but I thought they would break in. My time walking in them that day consisted of going across the parking lot and into my building, a few trips down the hall, one trip to the cafeteria and the walk back through the parking lot. When I got home I actually had two blisters and several spots were very red (and I was wearing socks). It's been 4 days and my feet are still sore. If it had just been that I needed another 1/2 size up I might have exchanged them, but I don't want another pair with glue all over them either. Also, they were very stiff and not comfortable at all.
STURDY BUT COMFORTABLE AND STYLISH
I walk a lot, here im Florida and in New York City. Never have a problem when wearing these shoes and I'm 83 years old.
They wear extremely well. I get 2/3 years of constant wear
from a pair.
I have been wearing this style of Rockport for many years.
These are most comfortable for me.
I wear them every day.
I am a retired man who walks a few miles each day, weather permitting.
This is a great looking casual shoe, very well made. Unfortunately the leather is too stiff and the width on the narrow side. I have other Rockport shoes that are my most comfortable footwear.
I wear this shoe as a daily work shoe during the winter months and I have found it very comfortable over the years. I believe this is my 4th or 5th pair. They wear well and last a good year at least before I notice some wear on the inside of the shoe and feel I need to replace it for better support.
I bought this shoe for work. which i do a lot of walking and standing.

My foot was crushed years ago. My Orthopedic Surgeon informed me, I would need to wear shoes (preferably tie) with support. I thought, "Oh No...Old lady shoes" Then, I discovered Rockport! They have style! No one knows I wear them for the support, they look that good. Recently, I pledged to walk to raise funds and needed new walking shoes. I procrastinated and ordered the ProWalker World Tour Classic by Rockport seven days before the event. Of course they fit from day one with no rubbing or pinching, (one of the many reasons I still buy them.) I walked the five kilometers and was able wander around all the booths and enjoy myself later. My feet still felt great even at the end of the long day. I love the ProWalker style I wish I could order another color right away!
I have trouble with other everyday shoes. These shoes wrap around my feet and make me feel like they are part of my feet. I would like to buy 2 more pair just in case they change the style. They are the greatest!!

This is what I been looking for. I have waitress for many many years and been looking for that perfect shoe. Well, I found the shoe, the ProWalker World Tour Classic by Rockport. I am on my feet at work for as much as 10 hours in one day. My feet are fine, there are no regrets in buying this style shoe and brand.Thank you Rockport for making great shoes [...]
Wow what a shoe - but fits a bit to small - it may be I'm a large size.
if I wasn't - they would be a terrific shoe.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST WALKER ON THE PLANET
NOT ONLY IS THIS A GOOD CASUAL SHOE, THIS IS THE BEST WALKING SHOE THAT I HAVE EVER WORN. MY JOB REQUIRES A LOT OF WALKING LONG HOURS ON CEMENT FLOORS IN A DISTRIBUTION CENTER. THIS IS THE ONLY SHOE WHERE MY FEET, LEGS AND KNEES DO NOT GIVE ME ANY PAIN. MY SON BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR FOR ME BECAUSE I COMPLAINED ABOUT PAIN SO MUCH. THANKS TO HIM THE PAIN IS GONE. THANKS TO YOU FOR HAVING SUCH A GREAT PRICE ON THEM. THIS IS THE ONLY WALKING SHOE I WILL EVER BUY. ALSO GOOD FOR TAKING LEISURELY STROLLS.
This is a very stylish, comfortable shoe. I was very satisfied with this purchse.
