I,ve had Ryka before in step arobics, but now I walk every morning 1 mile, will step up to2 more miles when it gets cooler here in East Texas. We walk on sidewalks and pavement and the shoes work very well. I know in the fall and winter they will be okay. The fit was okay, sizing was correct, and they felt very good from the first time I put the shoes on and walked. If they had not been right I would not have wore the shoes. I will buy again and would recommend these to my family and friends. By the way I,m 72 years old and going strong, playin a country band, and church.

I really like Ryka shoes- and I am very happy with my purchase. I usually wear a size 6, however, only a 6.5 was offered in this shoe. Whenever I put in my arch supports it was a perfect fit! I will only purchase Ryka shoes from now on!

I was disappointed w/the amount of arch support. I have been a Ryka fan for years primarily w/their cross trainers. I ordered these shoes for walking on a treadmill and/or outside as well as circuit training classes. Need better arch support w/those of us w/high arches!!!

I wear an orthotic and have a narrow/medium foot. I take out the insole cushion, put in the orthotic, and these shoes are perfect. I take a half size larger with my orthotic in. I'm told this is a women's company and the shoes they make for women are just perfect. I get a new pair of the sport walkers every year. When a pair starts to look dirty, I scrub them in a bucket of water, let them dry, and they look like new. I have 4 pairs still in use from oldest to new: garden shoes, rainy day errand shoes, good everyday shoes, new workout pair. My sister, a jogger, loves the running shoes and first told me about Rykas. I can't say enough good things about this quality shoe!

I wear these shoes at least 3 times a week. They are amazingly comfortable right out of the box. Great for walking and just hangin' around in as well.

I love the Ryka brand. Not only because it is a company run by women producing shoes for women, but I love the look and feel of the shoes. They last a long time.
I have high arches and need additional support, so I remove the padding insert, then I add a full-length, green Spenco cushion (available at Big 5 or other sport marts) and Phase 4 orthotics (available at the As Seen on TV store) which are so affordable and durable.
No matter how great a shoe is, th internal structure of it will break down with about 6 months of use. If you add a few modifications, it will increase the life of the shoe exponentially.
One caution, Ryka shoes run about a 1/2 size smaller. Meaning if you wear an 8, better order an 8 1/2. Also, if you are going to modify it for more cushion and support as I've suggested, order a wide width for extra room. And get ready to head straight to the gym because they feel so good, you'll just want to start bouncing! Enjoy.

I've been wearing this model of Ryka shoe for some years now. I searched them out online, as I cannot buy them locally anymore. Ryka athletic shoes are made for women's feet and fit me well, with their wider toe box and narrower heel. They have been durable, as I wear them for both working out and for everyday walking. A superior, moderately-priced athletic shoe.
