i walk four miles a day in these shoes. The soles hold up well even on sidewalks. They are lightweight and comfortable. The only thing I would change about it is to put a little more cushion in the sole. I have also tried several variations of the same shoes and all wear about the same. The shoe fits me well but my foot is a little wide. This is my fifth pair and I plan to buy more.

I work in a busy medical office and I also walk and run. This shoe is great for both. I can be on my feet all day at work or running trails or walking on pavement and my feet feel fantastic. They support my feet all day long no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I tried other brands and felt the difference right away. They just didn't compare to the quality of these shoes. I still have several pair of Rykas around the house because they wash up so well. I can't say enough about Ryka brand shoes. It is truly the best shoe for women.

I have worn these for work for years. I'm on concrete up to 12 hours a day over 5 days a week. They not only protect my feet, but take the strain off my knees hip and back. I wouldn't wear anything else.

Would purchase again.

Love the sneakers....
They are great you just have to realize that the sizing run a little small so make sure to order larger than you normally would.

My RYKA helped my plantar fascitis

I was introduced to RYKA while in Champlain, NY September 2006. I had plantar fascitis at the time and my friend that I was visiting with thought they might help. The shoe I bought there at the [...] was unbelievable, and it did help my plantar fascitis. However, I have not been able to find the very same shoe again. I have tried two other types of "walkers" since and they just do not do the same for my foot. I am still wearing RYKA even though it is not the same shoe I found in New York. My 2nd pair wore out on the inside heel in under 2 months (I found them while in Tennessee). I haven't had my 3rd pair long enough to comment (I ordered them on-line), other than the fact that it walks well. I walk 3 to 5 miles a day on the treadmill and use the elliptical and bicycle as well. I am disappointed that I cannot find them locally -- I live in Graham, NC!

I bought this shoes because I was having trouble with my forefoot(metatarsalgia) and they fit my orthotics. They have re-enforced external rearfoot support which holds the orthotics well and decent midfoot stability, a bit of a curved last which I need as my arch is high. They have a very cushioned feel which helped my forefoot greatly. I only wish they came in 10 1/2, as I have to wear the 11 which feels a bit big. Nice looking shoe for an athletetic shoe too.

I may buy them again.

I found these to be a little narrower than I expected for a D width. I am training for a 60 mile walk and they arent't working. They are good for a work out at Curves and to wear for a couple of hours.

This was my 2nd shoe, recommended by my daughter who teaches jazzercize. I recommended it to my personal trainer who has bought two pair. The only problem I had was that the binding around the laces broke on one shoe. I continued to use it though. I do not have to break this shoe in.

I was a good customer for New Balance until I tried Ryka snickers. Saw them [...] for awhile and when I need snickers I went on line and ordered them. I have very bad feet and don't find to many shoes that are comfortable. I thought since women designed these and they just for women I would give them a try. Best thing I ever did ! I wore them right out of the box, and have worn them everyday since. Thank You for such a great shoe !! My feet love you ! Mrs. Barbara Helman
