I bought these for my teenaged son, who did NOT want to get rid of his smelly athletic shoes. These are a little dressier and look good with both jeans and khaki pants.
The shoes are well-made and comfortable. Mom and son are both very pleased with our purchase.

748 is a very good shoe. Pros: Supportive, durable, comfortable. I can wear this shoe all day (16 hours) without a problem. Stairs, walkways, bending and lifting. Cons: not too breathable. Because of the durable leather siding, its not breathable like running shoes.

NEW BALANCE has made a comfortable pair of shoes. From the first time I put them on they fit without a breakin period. So, comfortable you might forget to take them off.

Nice looking shoe for business casual events and work. Since it is built like a running shoe I can go to work and look professional and still be able to run for the metro on the way home when I am late.

I was looking for a shoe that could be worn all day, going in and out of my truck and in and out of people's yards for my job. I needed something that would support the foot, be comfortable on all types of ground, and be durable through all types of weather. This sneaker seemed to be the answer to what I was looking for.
I like it so much that I am having my wife order me a second pair, for a backup when this pair does wear out.

Wear this shoe every day. My feet are hard to fit, so I have used New Balance for years since the fit is predictable and appropriate. The 748 is suitable for everything from hiking and yard work to casual social events. I even use it for golf as I prefer walking the course to riding in a cart. Have used this shoe since it first came out and have been very satisfied.

I work as an adult education teacher at three Skilled Nursing facitlities, a day program for adults with physical and psychiatric problems, plus I drive a bus for developmentally disabled adults to various functions and events in our greater communtiy. These shoes can do it all. They help me walk the halls, dance, excercise, entertain, skadoodle and skadaddle, and jump up in a heart beat. The nice thing about them, I go the entire day not realizing I'm wearing them. Now that's comfort.
