The rains have returned to the Pacific Northwest and the snow to NYC, where I got these shoes. They were comfortable from the first time I tried them on, and much lighter than the Eccos that I was wearing at the time, and therefore much more likely to get a lot of use.
As they have a Gore-Tex lining, I have learned from Mephisto experience to go up a 1/2 size to allow for the Gore-Tex "sock" and then they are just great.
New York concrete and Northwest trails, this shoe tackles them both with ease.
Perhaps not the most stylish, but then, who cares when it is pouring, or snowing?
My son has the Eccos and glad to have them in NYC.
